Visit Bergerac
Just 20 km from the campground is the town of Bergerac. The town has cozy medieval streets and is titled "City of Art and History." Meet the statue of Cyrano and visit the tobacco museum where you will learn all about the 3000 year history of the tobacco plant. Afterwards, take a seat on one of the cozy terraces in the charming streets for one of Bergerac's wines. Also visit the Maison de Vins de Bergerac wine cellar. In the 17th-century building you can learn all about the vineyard, there is a wine library and, of course, a wine tasting. A visit is also completely free.
Visit Périgueux
A 30-minute drive from the campground is Périgueux, a lovely city with plenty to do and see. You can enjoy wandering around the old streets and alleys and past city palaces. The famous Saint-Front Cathedral in the city center is not to be missed. The cathedral's design was inspired by Byzantine ideas. Every day you will find the farmers' market in the city center. On Wednesdays and Saturdays it is extra large and is also called the "marchés des saveurs" (market of taste). Périgueux is the capital of Périgord, the region famous for its gastronomy. Therefore, be sure to dine in one of its cozy restaurants.
A day of fun at Jacquou Parc
A fun family outing in to Jacquou Parc, about half an hour away. This amusement park offers attractions for the whole family, including roller coasters, water rides and a playground. You can also see animals, such as monkeys and crocodiles, and there is a miniature golf course and a restaurant where you can enjoy a nice meal. The park is open from April through September.
Discover the beautiful natural environment of the Dordogne
Nearby are beautiful rivers like the Dordogne or the Vezere. Rent a canoe and take to the water. There are also many other water sports to practice in or near the campsite and you can of course simply take a refreshing dip. For the real hiker there are beautiful hiking trails such as the "sentier des Meulières", the "Boucle des ponts", or the "Roches enchantées".

In camping plus que parfait… !!!

Wij hebben 1 nacht verbleven op deze camping, op doorreis naar de Pyreneeën, een fantastische plek, eigenlijk te mooi om er maar 1 nacht te blijven. De plekken zijn groot met mooi uitzicht, zeer schoon sanitair, een heerlijk zwembad, speeltuin, mooi terras met platanen. Het was nu nog heel rustig op de camping. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zeker een aanrader.

Nous avons passés deux nuits pendant la canicule, mais le camping nous a offert un bon moment calme, et avons surtout apprécié la piscine. Camping très bien tenu et les propriétaires sont très disponible pour répondre a toutes les questions.

Nous n'avons passé qu'une nuit dans ce très beau camping mais aurions pu y rester plus longtemps.
Très bon accueil, beaucoup d'espace, une magnifique piscine bien appréciée avec ces grosses chaleurs.

This is a gorgeous camp site if you are looking to kick back and relax. Located outside a small village (easy walking distance), where there is a shop selling EVERYTHING, and a restaurant serving wonderful food is located across the road. The sanitary facilities are clean and showers are hot. The pool is lovely. The owners are very accomodating and friendly and went out their way to help us when we had a problem - we were there during a heatwave and our air awning exploded, ripping the fabric to bits. The owners very kindly brought me their sewing machine from home, and put up with me stitching my awning back together in their restaurant.
Honestly, this is a lovely site, and we will definitely go back the next time we travel to this area.

There is a snack bar at the campsite where you can enjoy a drink, snack, pizza or panini all day during high season. In low season this is by order only.

Fresh bread and pastries can be ordered throughout the season. Reserve at reception the day before (before 7 p.m.) and pick them up at 8:30 a.m.
