Visit Bergerac

Just 20 km from the campground is the town of Bergerac. The town has cozy medieval streets and is titled "City of Art and History." Meet the statue of Cyrano and visit the tobacco museum where you will learn all about the 3000 year history of the tobacco plant. Afterwards, take a seat on one of the cozy terraces in the charming streets for one of Bergerac's wines. Also visit the Maison de Vins de Bergerac wine cellar. In the 17th-century building you can learn all about the vineyard, there is a wine library and, of course, a wine tasting. A visit is also completely free.

Visit Périgueux

A 30-minute drive from the campground is Périgueux, a lovely city with plenty to do and see. You can enjoy wandering around the old streets and alleys and past city palaces. The famous Saint-Front Cathedral in the city center is not to be missed. The cathedral's design was inspired by Byzantine ideas. Every day you will find the farmers' market in the city center. On Wednesdays and Saturdays it is extra large and is also called the "marchés des saveurs" (market of taste). Périgueux is the capital of Périgord, the region famous for its gastronomy. Therefore, be sure to dine in one of its cozy restaurants.

A day of fun at Jacquou Parc

A fun family outing in to Jacquou Parc, about half an hour away. This amusement park offers attractions for the whole family, including roller coasters, water rides and a playground. You can also see animals, such as monkeys and crocodiles, and there is a miniature golf course and a restaurant where you can enjoy a nice meal. The park is open from April through September.

Nearby are beautiful rivers like the Dordogne or the Vezere. Rent a canoe and take to the water. There are also many other water sports to practice in or near the campsite and you can of course simply take a refreshing dip. For the real hiker there are beautiful hiking trails such as the "sentier des Meulières", the "Boucle des ponts", or the "Roches enchantées".

A perfect stay with Aurélie and Sébastien. A friendly, family-oriented, and truly welcoming campground. We were just passing through on a spur-of-the-moment trip in our van and were lucky enough to enjoy the pool a bit when we arrived, even though it was scheduled to close at 8 p.m. Then it was time for a relaxed aperitif with a draft beer… no pressure. A really great time with the family! ☺️

This isn’t our first stay here, and it certainly won’t be our last.
Large, spacious campsites, with both shaded and sunny spots.
    A pleasant, friendly atmosphere.

The restrooms aren’t super luxurious, but they’re clean and well-maintained.
The shower uses a push-button system—thankfully, no coins required—and the water heats up quickly (and gets nice and hot).

The bar and terrace are ideal for enjoying a drink while looking out over the pool and the valley, or simply reading a book (there’s a library with a variety of books in various languages).
You can sit comfortably in the shade under the large plane trees.
You can eat your ordered meal on the terrace or at your tent. There’s a varied menu selection.

The pool is a pleasant temperature, and the water quality is good.
There are lounge chairs by the pool for soaking up some sun.
The small lake offers the chance to go fishing (with a high chance of catching something).
At night, you can enjoy the stars and the Milky Way, visible to the naked eye.

You can choose to park your car next to your tent or in the parking area. Charging stations for electric cars are available.

The Perigord’s tourist hotspots aren’t right next door, but the travel times are manageable.

For groceries, you can go to the village (small supermarket), Vergt (Intermarché), or Bergerac (Hypermarché & Leclerc).
