Nomadic Bivouac - 2 persons

The campground is located in an industrial area you have to drive through.
Without a car, it seems pretty difficult to get there.

The campground is very quiet—it’s very pleasant—but with teenagers, it’s a total bore.
There are very few activities on-site, which is a shame.
The bar is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and honestly, I find that pretty subpar for a 4-star campground.
The laundry room is only open until 6 p.m., which is pretty tight if you go out for a walk and then have to wait until 9 a.m. the next day to do your laundry when you get back.
The pool looks nothing like the photos on the website—it’s very small and only 1.50 meters deep.
I think that photo is misleading.

The mobile homes are very clean but sorely lack kitchenware, such as a colander for pasta, or more frying pans and pots, a large serving spoon, and a larger frying pan as well.
There’s a dishwasher, but there’s no point in using it since there aren’t enough dishes to run a full load.
Sorting trash is important, but saving water is also key.
The dishwasher isn’t necessary.
As for plates, glasses, cups, and bowls, the selection is great—there are even stemmed wine glasses, which is really nice.

Pros:
The reception staff was very friendly and cheerful, providing us with all the necessary information upon arrival.
The campground is very clean, and the cleaning staff is very responsive if you encounter any issues with the mobile home.
The playground for little ones is decent.
The lake is beautiful, but Aquajump is still expensive for what it offers

Honestly, though, I wouldn’t recommend this place to families with older teens.
Especially since Angoulême isn’t a very big city to explore, and you can see everything pretty quickly.
The kids get bored; even though the setting is beautiful, we won’t be coming back with the kids.
It’s a campground for seniors and families who love peace and quiet.

Tree-top adventure course, comic book museum.
Tomorrow we’ll go to the tree-top adventure course and visit the archaeological site in Saintes, which is a 1-hour drive from the campground.

The campground doesn’t live up to its 4-star rating.
It’s really more like a 2-star campground, or 3 at most

. There’s a severe lack of cell service, even on 4G or 5G
. Wi-Fi is nonexistent.

We spent two nights in a motorhome. We received a warm welcome. Our site was spacious, and the surroundings were very quiet.
The only minor downside during the intense heat wave was the lack of shade on the site.
The pool is great for cooling off—it’s a shame there aren’t enough lounge chairs for everyone.
Special mention for the restrooms, which are very clean!

But there’s a lack of entertainment; the bar is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and there’s no entertainment on Saturdays and Sundays—for a 5-star campground…
On the other hand, the mobile homes are clean and the sites are spacious.
Good for a stay of a few days (2–3 nights) but no longer.

A quiet, spacious, and intimate campground with a pool (great during heat waves—it could use a bit more shade and lounge chairs, perhaps, but if everyone plays fair and doesn’t hog them all day, there’s a good rotation), with a pétanque court and ping-pong table available.
There are plenty of activities nearby: a bike path, a lake with a sailing school and an aqua jump, canoeing, a water park, and Angoulême.
The mobile home is new and clean with plenty of space around it, and the staff was quick to address any minor issues that came up.
We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but there’s everything you need around the lake.
Even though there aren’t many activities, that’s exactly what we were looking for—a peaceful stay.
Perhaps there could be more recommendations for things to do off-site (like the market...).
