Summary created out of 137 reviews

The campsite is within walking distance of the centre of Gruissan, making shops and restaurants easily accessible. The reception staff are regularly described as friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean, although guests note that they are outdated and the shower temperature cannot be adjusted – which is particularly unpleasant in warm weather. The campsite has limited shade on the pitches and few facilities such as animation or a swimming pool, making it best suited for those seeking peace and planning their own activities in the surrounding area.

    A wonderful family experience.
Our car broke down, and the manager and staff were very helpful.
My father had a medical emergency after 10 p.m., and Isabelle, a first-aider, was a great help to us. Thank you all.
The campground is in a great location. Without even taking the car, you can hike up to the Barberousse Tower to watch the sunrise or sunset. Then grab breakfast at the “Bernard” bakery and take a quick stroll through the market.
On 08/12/26, we watched the eclipse by the Gruisson Pond.
    Highlights for us:
    1) The AIR CONDITIONING is perfect in this heat.
    2) NO SWIMMING POOL—otherwise, the kids wouldn’t have left the campground, and we wouldn’t have been able to explore Gruisson and the surrounding area.

GRUISSAN is truly pleasant and peaceful. All three generations loved visiting this town; we were completely unplugged.

Stop by the “Perle Gruissanaise”—a gorgeous spot to have a drink or a meal—then go taste the oysters at the salt flats and stock up on salt.

I strongly advise against this campground; one star is way too generous—I only gave it that because you have to.
The restrooms and showers are filthy and reek of urine.
The water play area doesn’t work.
A pitch with absolutely no shade, and to top it all off, a waitress at the bar who had been drinking—you could smell it when she spoke to me, and it was obvious she was drunk.
After 10:30 p.m., no noise allowed, and by 11 p.m., no more cars—it’s too noisy when you come back. This isn’t a campground; it’s more like a retirement home.
If you’re a party animal and enjoy the good life, this isn’t the place for you.
A campground to definitely avoid 🤬

    Camping a fuir vraiment 🤬

The campground is really run-down. There’s nothing nice about it. The campsites are located on one side of a heavily trafficked road. On top of that, it’s very dusty, there’s little shade, and the shower buildings and restrooms are underground. Gruissan is, of course, wonderful, and the campground’s location is a definite plus. You can walk to town, which offers great restaurants, French charm, and a fantastic weekly market. Otherwise, stay for one night at most and get out of here fast.
