Camping Fargogne

We had a fantastic stay! We stayed in a fully furnished safari tent that was in great condition and offered plenty of comfort at a very reasonable price. The campground’s small-scale layout creates a warm, relaxed, and cozy atmosphere. There were quite a few families there, so our kids immediately made friends to play with. Sven and Nathalie are very hospitable, always available, and do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The surrounding area is also beautiful, and there’s plenty to do: canoeing, visiting castles, exploring charming villages… A place we look back on with great fondness!

A lovely family campground. Very quiet—perfect for a couple like us. Beautiful, spacious, shaded sites; very clean restrooms and dishwashing area. The nice-sized, well-maintained pool encourages friendly interactions among campers. Sven and Nathalie do everything they can to make sure our vacation goes smoothly. A very nice campground with a super-friendly, attentive manager. We’ve already stayed twice in the very pleasant and spacious cottage—there were four of us, including two young children. The pool is immaculate for both adults and kids, and there’s table tennis, pétanque, a workshop for the little ones, an educational farm, clean restrooms, and a great little snack bar. I highly recommend this campground, whether you have kids or not—it’s in a beautiful region with several charming villages to visit nearby. We’ll definitely be back for a third time 😁

A beautiful campground that has everything you need for a pleasant vacation. Child-friendly. Spacious sites. Nice little pool and bar.
It seems, however, that the campground is getting quieter and quieter.

A beautiful, peaceful campground with a nice pool and a good Vodatent safari tent. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the feeling that the owners paid a lot of attention to families they were friends with, which meant other guests were less involved. We noticed this, among other things, during animal feedings, activities, and general interaction. Entertainment and a local market were advertised on Instagram and the website, but we saw little to nothing of that during our two-week stay.

In addition, we found the food and drink options very expensive for what you get (€11 for a simple croque monsieur and high prices for sandwiches); the bar was closed one evening without notice; and we were disappointed that an extra €10 was charged per bed for disposable bedding. The campground’s washing machine is also small and relatively expensive. On the positive side, the male owner stopped by daily for a quick chat, and the campground, the pool, and our site were otherwise very pleasant.

All in all, we had a nice vacation, but with more attention to all guests, a more active program of activities, and better value for the money, this campground would leave a much better impression.

Excellent camp site! Our favourite so far on our trip. Very friendly staff and a lovely family feel to the place. Site was peaceful and the owner helped recommend a shady spot for us. The pool was amazing, just what we needed after a day of travel! A small bar with some food options beside the pool was lovely, we had homemade pizza which was delicious! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
