Get on your bike
Surrounding the glamping in Espira de Conflent are some great routes for cycling enthusiasts. These include several cycling routes in the nearby Pyrenees, such as the famous Col du Tourmalet, which has been featured in the Tour de France. The region is also home to the Voie Verte, a network of bike trails that stretches for 20 km from Ille-sur-Têt to Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, past picturesque villages and stunning natural scenery.

The Pyrénées-Orientales has a rich tradition of winemaking, and the area is best known for its sweet fortified wines, such as Banyuls and Maury, which are made from grapes grown on steep terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The city of Perpignan is a 40-minute drive from the campsite and is known for its rich history, distinctly Catalan culture and unique blend of French and Catalan culture. In the city you will find the Palace of the Kings of Majorca, a magnificent Gothic palace built in the 13th century that served as the residence of the kings of Majorca. Don't forget the city's thriving culinary scene, with local specialties such as fresh seafood, Catalan stews and an array of delicious desserts and pastries. Several cultural festivals are held throughout the year, including the Estivales de Perpignan, a summer music and art festival, and the Visa Pour l'Image, an international festival of photojournalism.

To have a fun day in the area, you don't have to drive far. Discover the impressive Grottes des Canalettes, just a 20-minute drive from Camping Canigou. These enchanting caves will amaze you with their stalactites, stalagmites and illuminated underground lakes. A special day in nature, and a magical experience for young and old alike! Another option 20 minutes away is a visit to beautiful Villefranche-de-Conflent, a medieval walled town. Hele fijne, niet al te grote camping. Echt geschikt voor gezinnen met kinderen van boven de 12. Wij waren er met onze 2 jongens van 12 en 14 en die hebben het erg naar hun zin gehad. Misschien waren zij nog wel wat jong, zeker voor het avondgebeuren tussen alle jongeren. De activiteiten die er georganiseerd werden zijn heel leuk, je kan er lekker zwemmen en er zijn elke ochtend verse broodjes. Ook in de omgeving is genoeg te doen! Het is geen camping waar het om 23u muisstil is, maar de manier waarop de op de camping met de jongeren om gaan en alles regelen is heel goed.

Un accueil des plus chaleureux et un service au top. Une piscine naturelle très bien aménagée et des sanitaires propres. Nous reviendrons hors-saison d'été pour profiter plus longuement des lieux. Merci pour les échanges sympathiques et conseils avisés!

De passage le 12 juillet dernier. Un cadre arboré et paisible, très nature. une après midi au bord de la rivière et le soir, concert sur la terrasse du restaurant. Tout était réuni pour bien démarrer les vacances. Merci a toute l' équipe.

Wat een heerlijke plek! Ja, het is een camping voor (ouders met) pubers maar tegelijkertijd één van de rustigste campings waar ik ooit heb gestaan. De pubers hebben een ander ritme waardoor het 's ochtends rustig is. In de toiletgebouwen is altijd plek. En de bewaking is op orde. Je hoort tussen 12 en 2 zo nu en dan groepjes terug gaan naar hun slaapplaatsen maar dat is echt te overzien. En mijn kinderen (j13, m16) hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. 's avonds tot laat chillen bij de bar, beetje uitslapen. Wij hadden een schaduwrijke plaats achter op het terrein. Stroompunten en watertappunt dichtbij. Sanitairblok was ver lopen, maar dat is een bewuste keuze geweest. Voor de kinderen is er genoeg te doen. Terrein moet in principe om 12u stil zijn maar de puberelen mogen daarna nog tot 2 uur bij de bar eo hangen. Zwemmeertje is na 22u verboden terrein wat veel overlast scheelt. Omdat er zoveel pubers zijn is er altijd wel een groepje met wie het klikt en ze kunnen invoegen, fijn! 's avonds laat loopt er nog tot laat bewaking over het terrein. Niet alleen een veilig gevoel maar voorkomt ook overlast. Ik denk dat we zeker nog een keer terug komen!

Utrecht-Antwerp-Lille-Paris-Orléans-Bourges-Clermont-Ferrand-Béziers-Narbonne-Perpignan and then take the N 116 towards Andorra. Immediately after the town of Vinça, turn left onto the D 25. Follow the signs for Espira de Conflent and you will reach the campsite after about 5 km.
Utrecht-Maastricht-Luxembourg-Dijon-Lyon-Nîmes-Narbonne. From here follow the first mentioned route.
