Splash & Paddle in Natural Water

The surroundings are perfect for an active day on the water, with calm stretches suitable for families. Combine swimming, picnicking on the riverbank, and paddling through the green landscape for a wonderful holiday outing.

Explore Nature around the Céou

Directly from the campsite, you can walk or cycle through the green landscape of the Lot. Follow quiet paths along the river Céou or head into the hills towards the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy. The routes range from short family walks to more challenging hikes with views over valleys and forests. Cyclists will also find pleasant, quiet roads here that are perfect for a relaxing ride.

Discover Rocamadour and Cahors

The Lot is known for its characterful towns, and Rocamadour is perhaps the most famous example. This impressive place seems glued against the cliffside and offers narrow streets, historic buildings, and panoramic views. Cahors, about 31 km away, is also highly recommended for a cultural afternoon. Walk across the famous Pont Valentré, explore the old town center, and settle down on a terrace for a good glass of local wine. The combination of history, atmosphere, and gastronomy is what makes this region so attractive. Here, you don't just taste the charm of southern France, but you also experience the relaxed rhythm of French country life.

Visit Caves and Postcard Villages

For a truly special experience, drive to the Padirac chasm, where you descend into an impressive underground world. Part of the route is traveled by boat along caves and galleries, an outing that is both exciting and impressive for young and old. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie should also not be missing from your list. This village lies high above the Lot river and offers picturesque streets and stunning views. Heading towards the Dordogne, you’ll find atmospheric places such as Beynac-et-Cazenac, with medieval charm and castles along the river. This region combines nature, history, and breathtaking scenery in one varied holiday area.

A beautifully laid-out, green campground with spacious sites. The sites on the edge of the campground offer a lovely view of the meadows, and two of them have private bathroom facilities consisting of a small kitchenette, shower, and toilet. The campground itself is situated in a valley within walking distance of the small village, where there is also a Vidal. The campground restaurant has a limited menu, and guests are asked to make reservations in advance so the kitchen can better manage its schedule. Campers have access to the municipal swimming pool. Although villagers are also allowed to use it, you won’t notice them there. There are activities for the youngest children. The campground is less suitable for older children. Rocamadour and Cahors are 45 minutes away. The largest town (for grocery shopping), Goudon, is 15 minutes away. The surrounding area is beautifully green and hilly, with winding roads. The wine of the Lot region is found primarily along its banks near Cahors.
