Discover the impressive Gorges du Tarn

Discover the impressive Gorges du Tarn from the campsite, one of the most spectacular natural areas in France. Here the Tarn River cuts deep through the landscape and forms a canyon with steep limestone cliffs and clear water. Head out and experience for yourself how diverse this area is, whether you walk along the banks, go out on the water, or stop in one of the characteristic villages along the river. In the sky, you have a chance to see the imposing griffon vulture soaring above the cliffs, reintroduced in the 1990s and now one of the most distinctive birds of this area. Come and discover for yourself the combination of rugged and impressive nature of the Gorges du Tarn.

Discover the Cévennes straight from the campsite

From the campsite, the adventure begins almost immediately in Cévennes National Park, a vast natural area full of variety and tranquillity. You walk through chestnut forests, past dry-stone walls and over bare rocky ridges where vultures circle high above the landscape. The GR70 Route Stevenson runs right through the heart of the park and lets you experience how large and varied this area is. Anyone who wants to explore further can follow marked day routes towards the Causses or the slopes of Mont Lozère. Along the way, you pass abandoned farming hamlets and natural springs where you can refill your bottle, while the peaceful, unspoiled landscape and fresh mountain air clearly show what makes the Cévennes so special.

Visit the local market of Florac

On Wednesday morning, the center of Florac comes to life with stalls full of local cheese, honey, sausage and vegetables from farmers in Lozère. The market is compact and easy to navigate, but offers enough to return home with full bags. After that, you can settle down on one of the terraces on Place du Tour for a coffee, while village life drifts slowly past you.

Discover the view from Mont Aigoual

On Mont Aigoual, in the heart of Cévennes National Park, stands one of France’s last manned weather stations at an altitude of 1567 meters. The road there winds past beech forests and open plateaus. At the top, you can visit the small meteorological museum and learn more about the station. In clear weather, the view stretches from the Pyrenees to the Alps and offers an impressive panorama of the surroundings.

A very pleasant campground. The mobile home was perfect, even though there were a few too many neighbors across the way.

Très sympathique camping. Mobil home parfait même si il y a un peu trop de vis à vis.

A very nice, flat, shaded campground with a pool and a river—very pleasant. Well-located for sightseeing and hiking
. One small downside: the showers use a wristband system, the time is limited, and the water is cold, so it’s not great....Otherwise, a great experience
Too bad the activities end before the end of August...

The pool is gorgeous—it’s really great for kids. But best of all, the access to the river is magnificent. The restrooms are clean. The restaurant looks really nice—even though we didn’t have time to go there—its location by the river is ideal, and it smelled so good ☺️—the bar, bread, and pastries... We loved this campground and will definitely be back.

A pleasant campground with plenty of shade, which is great for tent camping.
The water park is well-designed and features a large relaxation area with plenty of lounge chairs—which is rare. Perhaps a few more umbrellas would be nice.
The river running alongside the campground is a good alternative to the pool.
The activities are well-suited and varied, and the activity leaders are very present.
There are plenty of restroom facilities, and the toilets are clean, but care should be taken to clean the shower walls all the way to the bottom... And it would be nice if the showers were 1 or 2 degrees warmer.
The bar and the bread stand are great—nothing to complain about, with a varied selection.
Close to the Carrefour and the Intermarché.
Overall, a good stay at the campground.
    Ideal for hiking enthusiasts.

Yes, the road is right nearby, so that does generate noise, and yes, the campground is noisy—but that’s due to people’s inconsiderate behavior and lack of manners.
