Discover the impressive Gorges du Tarn
Discover the impressive Gorges du Tarn from the campsite, one of the most spectacular natural areas in France. Here, the Tarn river cuts deep through the landscape, forming a canyon with steep limestone cliffs and clear water. Go out and experience for yourself how diverse this area is, whether you walk along the banks, take to the water, or stop in one of the characteristic villages along the river. In the sky, you have a chance to see the impressive griffon vulture soaring above the cliffs, reintroduced in the 90s and now one of the most iconic birds of this area. Come and experience for yourself the combination of rugged and impressive nature of the Gorges du Tarn.

Discover the Cévennes directly from the campsite
From the campsite, adventure begins almost immediately in the Cévennes National Park, an expansive natural area full of variety and tranquility. You walk through chestnut forests, along dry stone walls, and over bare rocky ridges where vultures soar high above the landscape. The GR70 Stevenson Route runs straight through the heart of the park and lets you experience how vast and diverse this area is. Those who want to explore further follow signposted day routes towards the Causses or the slopes of Mont Lozère. Along the way, you'll pass abandoned farm hamlets and natural springs where you can refill your bottle, while the peaceful, unspoiled landscape and fresh mountain air clearly show what makes the Cévennes so special.
Visit the local market of Florac
On Wednesday mornings, the center of Florac comes alive with stalls full of local cheese, honey, sausages, and vegetables from farmers in the Lozère region. The market is compact and easy to navigate, but offers enough variety to return home with bags full of goods. Afterwards, you can settle down at one of the terraces on Place du Tour for a coffee, while village life peacefully passes you by.
Discover the view from Mont Aigoual
On Mont Aigoual, in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, at 1,567 meters altitude, stands one of the last manned weather stations in France. The road leading there winds through beech forests and open plateaus. At the top, you can visit the small meteorological museum and learn more about the station. In clear weather, the view stretches from the Pyrenees to the Alps and offers an impressive panorama of the area.
