Tent Canadienne - 5 persons

It was 5:00 p.m. before we arrived, and they weren't answering the phone or responding to Booking messages. We arrived at 8:15 p.m.; the front desk was closed, so we had to open the gate manually because they didn’t give us an access code. The tent was dirty and freezing cold. We asked to switch tents since all the others were empty except for the … one next door (they were making a lot of noise), but they refused to let us switch. Finally, we confirmed that we would move to a tent with a heater, even though they still hadn’t been able to clean or check it—despite the fact that they make you check out by 10 a.m. The next day, they didn’t even bother to come check if anything was missing. Later we saw that there were other cabins with heaters that were clean, but they didn’t even bother to offer them to us. The bathrooms were dirty all weekend, and they didn’t even come to restock the toilet paper. Furthermore, they had opened only one restroom even though there were several available in the same area (since they’re not going to clean them anyway, give us more options!). The night we arrived, we parked our car near the shops without realizing that parking wasn’t allowed there; the next day they told us, but they grudgingly parked a car in front of ours so we couldn’t get out (it was far from the front desk where the guy was, and there were a thousand other places to park besides right in front of our car). It’s a shame that, given the potential this campground has, they run it so, so poorly. Obviously, we left without cleaning the tent as they require (thorough cleaning). Slackers! If you’re going to demand cleanliness, you need to be clean yourselves first. It’s a disgrace that a bathroom goes three days without being checked.

In response to your reply: if you offer your services on Booking, you should provide an automated message explaining how to enter the campground and where to find everything—just as other reputable companies do. If you know you can’t tell us where to park, don’t deliberately park a car in front of ours just to annoy us. As I mentioned, my tent wasn’t clean even though I arrived at 9 p.m. and it had been empty since 11 a.m.—just like the bathrooms, which were horrible all weekend. Amazing camping

A really bad experience at this campground—I've never felt so poorly treated as a guest. The place itself is pretty nice, but the staff!!! They really need to get their act together…!!! I would never recommend this campground to my friends.
