    We stayed here in our camper van , right beside the river . Swimming in the river and waking up with a view of the river was the highlight of our month away . The facilities were great ,I like the presence of composting bins and the walk to the village a delight .

    The campsite is divided into two by the road running through the site. The reception pool and static homes are on the higher side of the road. The lower side of the road is where the camping sites are. Many of them are alongside the river. Our pitch was on row away from the river, but we were still able to get into the river without walking to the … campsite entry to the water. In any case that would not have been an issue. Most pitches appeared pretty level.

    The facilities block is a traditional Huttopia wash block, single sex. It contained toilets, sinks, loos and washing facilities for campers. On the lower level, there were two, one small one for a few static tents at one end. This one also had washing machines.

    The other side of the road was reception, bar and pool. You could buy local produce and order bread for the next day.

    Reception staff were extremely helpful. They advised us when we wanted advice, and booked us a canoe trip down the river. The kept their calm when I gave them the wrong pitch number and had to find the correct number.
