Aix-en-Provence
Aix-en-Provence is just a 10-minute bike ride from the campsite and is a charming city full of art, culture, and Provençal atmosphere. Wander through the streets with fountains, visit Cézanne's studio, or enjoy an espresso on a sunny terrace along the Cours Mirabeau. Thanks to its proximity and the good connections by bus or bike, it's the perfect destination for a relaxing day in the city.

Sainte-Victoire & Lake Bimont
Less than 15 km from the campsite, the nature reserve around the Sainte-Victoire mountain begins. From Lake Bimont, beautiful hiking trails for all levels begin, with the highlight being the view from Croix de Provence. Along the way, you'll walk through pine forests, limestone rocks, and enjoy sweeping views over the valley. An ideal spot for an active day in nature, picnic included.
Marseille
Marseille is about a 40-minute drive from the campsite and makes a perfect addition to your stay in Aix. The city is full of energy and combines historic charm with modern art and Mediterranean flair. Stroll through the old harbor, Vieux-Port, discover the Le Panier district with its colorful alleys, and climb the Notre-Dame de la Garde for panoramic views. For those who love nature, book a boat trip to the Calanques of Cassis – impressive rock formations and hidden coves. Or visit the MuCEM, the well-known museum for European and Mediterranean cultures. Thanks to good train and bus connections, Marseille is also easily accessible without a car. Ideal for a varied day out.
Picturesque hilltop villages in the Luberon
The Luberon is known for its picturesque, hilltop villages, just 25–30 km from the campsite. For example, visit Lourmarin, which is justly considered one of the most beautiful villages in France. Here, you can stroll through winding streets full of galleries, boutiques, and terraces. Roussillon surprises with its warm ochre colors and unique rock formations, while Gordes charms with its limestone houses and panoramic views. Each village has its own atmosphere, markets and local products. Here, you experience true Provençal life, with a mix of tranquility, craftsmanship and culture. Ideal for a relaxing afternoon drive or a day trip with multiple stops. Don’t forget your camera, because the landscape and villages are especially photogenic.

We stayed here at the end of April for 3 nights with the VW bus. The site can be recommended without reservation. The terraced pitches are beautiful. Lots of green/woodland. The sanitary facilities are modern and well maintained. The reception is very friendly. The location is good. You can get into town and to the train station quickly by bus.

The campsite is not close to the center of Aix en Provence The pitches are small and don't look like the photos Our first pitch was narrow and only accessible by maneuvering like a seasoned truck driver (not me). The advertising on the site is misleading! The reception is very friendly and helped us to find a better pitch.
