We spent six weeks enjoying our mobile home at a campsite perched on top of a mountain with a fantastic view. The staff at the Campasun campground “Les Lauriers Roses” in St. Augulf were very friendly and helpful. Since we look back on a wonderful vacation with great pleasure, we’ve already booked another 6 weeks for next year.

Since this spring of 2026, the campground has been taken over by Campasun.
As a result, a number of
    changes have been implemented.
New staff members are strictly following the new owner’s guidelines (as they should).
For the regular campers, these new rules do take some getting used to.
But the staff are doing their very best to make the guests feel at home. They are friendly and work hard. We’ve been staying here since early May 2026 and have had the chance to experience almost everything firsthand. This includes a very pleasant introduction to the owners’ daughter (who manages four campgrounds in this region). We also met the bar staff and the managers. What friendly people, and what a tremendous amount of work we saw them put in to officially open the campground on May 23. We really can’t comment on the period before that date, as the handover was briefly delayed. There were a number of changes that many campers had to get used to. The fact that the bar was suddenly no longer open until… but only until 10:00 p.m. came as a shock to many. This has now been adjusted to 11:00 p.m. Anything the staff wants to do for us must be discussed with the owners. The food tastes very good and is served with great care. As for the wine served during boules, that was always a gesture from André. There was some confusion about that for a while, but after discussion, it has now been adjusted, and once again, in addition to the trophy, a glass of wine can be won. Work has also continued since the opening, allowing many people to get to know both the bar staff and the managers. Later, a receptionist and cleaning staff joined the team. Since they were brought on later, the restrooms weren’t very clean at first, but after these great people arrived, the showers are now clean, free of hair, and smell fresh. The mobile homes also look neat and fresh. At first, both the guests and the staff had to get used to each other. But I believe you have to give that some time. It’s quite overwhelming when your bar is suddenly full of fairly vocal Dutch guests who all want something from you. I do understand the Dutch guests, though. The bar staff could have spoken a little more English. But things are getting better and better, and everyone is starting to show more respect for one another. Another thing that’s really appreciated is that the front desk is now open more often. The grounds look well-maintained, and the pool is cleaned every day. Unfortunately, the manager has to refill the trash cans every morning because a nighttime visit from a family of wild boars turns the place into a pigsty. I think, to make many guests feel even better, a suggestion box might be a good idea. After all, it’s so easy to complain, but then you should also come up with suggestions or ideas. Campasun has its own rules and sticks to them. André’s 40 years of having a bit of a free hand are now over, and we all have to deal with that. After all, that’s the case at all campgrounds—you have to follow the rules. So, in short, Campasun and its staff are off to a great start (they’ve only been at it for two months). In any case, we’re super positive and see a bright future🌞 ahead for Campasun. We’re definitely very satisfied👍

De overdracht had nl even oponthoud.
