    This campground is situated in a truly idyllic location in the middle of the forest near Braunlage. You’re greeted by the very friendly couple who run the place, and they explain everything to you. There’s a map to help you get your bearings, with all the important information marked on it. The campground is very well-maintained and features very spacious RV sites. The restroom facilities are modern and clean.
    There’s a bread roll delivery service; the rolls are brought to your site in the morning. On the grounds, there’s a restaurant with a varied menu and reasonable prices.
    It’s a half-hour walk to the center of Braunlage. It takes about 45 minutes to walk to the cable car up the Wurmberg. Another destination you can reach on foot is the Waldkaffee Forellenteich. It takes about 30 minutes to get there.
    All in all, the Braunlage campground comes highly recommended.

    Mitten im Wald bei Braunlage befindet sich der wirklich idyllisch gelegene Campingplatz. Man wird vom sehr freundlichen Betreiber Pärchen begrüßt und bekommt alles erklärt. Zur Übersicht gibt’s eine Karte, wo alle wichtigen Dinge verzeichnet sind. Der Platz ist sehr gepflegt und zeichnet sich durch sehr großzügige WoMo Parzellen aus. Die sanitären Anlagen sind modern und sauber.
    Es gibt einen Brötchen Service. Diese werden dann morgens auch gebracht. Auf dem Gelände gibt es ein Restaurant mit einer abwechslungsreichen Karte und moderaten Preisen.
    In einer halben Stunde ist man zu Fuß im Zentrum von Braunlage. Bis zur Seilbahn auf den Wurmberg braucht man ca.45 Minuten zu Fuß. Als weiteres Ausflugsziel zu Fuß sei das Waldkaffee Forellenteich genannt. Hier ist man in ca.30 Minuten.
    Alles in allem ist der Campingplatz Braunlage sehr zu empfehlen.

    A very nice, well-maintained campground. Very friendly owners. Clean and new restroom facilities.

    I wanted to try out another campground in the Harz Mountains, and this time I chose this one in Braunlage. The campground is located just outside of town in a fairly quiet area. The restrooms are clean and easily accessible. The staff is very friendly. I had everything I needed. I spent a few wonderful days there. I’d love to come back!
