On different days markets are organized where you can buy local products such as fresh fruit and vegetables, but also to score the nicest souvenirs you are at the right place at a market. For example, there are lively markets in Borken, Bocholt, Winterswijk and Essen. Plenty of choice!

Looking for an activity when the weather is bad? Indoor Aquaris pool is a 10-minute drive away. Slide down the dark slide, jump off the diving board and swim in the indoor or outdoor pool. Make a hike or bike ride extra fun by following one of the routes created in cooperation with Nature Park Hohe Mark Westmünsterland and the Westphalian Heimatbund. For example, the Planetary Route starts right from Camping Borken am See. While following the "planet trail" you will answer questions such as "How big is the sun?" or "How many planets are there?". A fun and educational outing in nature! The route is 6 kilometers in total. So walking or biking, you can do both! If you want to follow a different route, there is also the Flamingo Bike Route, which takes you along fascinating places and landscapes. And who knows, you might even spot real flamingos!

- Bread roll service in low season: on Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 - 10:00. High season: daily from 08:00 - 10:00.

We zijn zeer te spreken over de camping Borken am See. Het personeel is allemaal erg vriendelijk, dat is heel prettig. Er waren genoeg faciliteiten voor onze 4 kinderen; het mooie achterste veld met nieuwe speeltoestellen, het zwembad, het spring kussen bij de animatie, het meer enz. De animatie zelf was ook hartstikke leuk met een leuk afwisselend programma, goed geregeld met de verse broodjes en leuke midgetgolf erbij voor een betaalbare prijs. Keurig verzorgd allemaal.
