Camp Kyllburg is idyllically located along the river Kyll in a beautiful valley in the Eifel. Guests particularly appreciate the spacious pitches directly by the water, the very clean and modern sanitary facilities, and the warm Dutch owners who work with great personal attention. The bread delivery service with a friendly greeting on the bag and the food truck with delicious Kyllburgers are popular. The campsite is child-friendly with toys and bikes available, and dogs are warmly welcomed. The access road is narrow and steep, requiring extra attention upon arrival.

Nice campground, lots of extras, very clean; the only thing to keep in mind is the steep and narrow road leading to it. We didn't have any trouble with our 8-meter trailer.

We stayed for five nights in September with our Motorhome. Beautifully kept campsite with very helpful friendly staff. Excellent shower and toilet facilities, very clean and well stocked with toiletries even. Only niggle from my husband was he had to carry a mirror to use while shaving in the mornings. Free use of washing machine was great as we … cycle every day so need to wash our stuff regularly. As for the cycling it is tough around here as it’s so hilly, but the Kyll cycle path is really beautiful both south towards Trier and north to Gerolstein. There is a Lidl in the village and it is up a hill from the campsite but worth the walk or tough cycle ride. Good idea to try and stock up on the way in if you don’t want to drive there.
Small food truck supplies evening meals and there is an honesty bar.
As it is in a deep valley the sun can be late to reach some of the plots and early to leave. -

A nice campground in a beautiful location. Good, clean restroom facilities. We camped here in the off-season. I can imagine it gets crowded and busy during peak season. The southern part of the campground looks a bit bare—there are no trees or shrubs there. The northern part of the campground looks a bit more charming. There’s a takeout restaurant … on the campground itself, and there are several restaurants in the village of Kyllburg. The nearby train station offers good train connections to Trier and Gerolstein.

A beautifully situated campground in a valley, along a river (swimming is not allowed at the moment due to possible contamination)
Not much for kids to do (which is probably why there are so many scooters and other ride-on toys), and it’s difficult to go on a bike ride there because of the steep elevation changes.
It’s fine for a few days.this is a translation, click here for the original
