We stayed in a safari tent with a hot tub for the past 10 days with our family, including two young kids. Highly recommended. The owners are super friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The accommodations are very neat and clean. We also enjoyed the new fountain plaza, which occasionally features a beautiful, unique music and light show in the evenings. The pool was wonderful and clean, chlorine-free, with comfortable lounge chairs and Fatboy beanbags nearby to relax on. Beautiful nature all around. There’s a small playground, but it’s nice and easy to keep an eye on the kids.

We had a wonderful weekend with our RVs at this very idyllically located campground, which is run by a truly friendly Dutch family.
The swimming pool is a definite plus, but it does get quite crowded during peak season and school vacations.
We had a beautiful spot by the lake.
The restroom facilities were adequate and mostly clean (obviously, with the campground fully booked, not everything can be spotless all the time, but you can tell they take good care of things here)
There’s plenty on offer for families.
We were a little annoyed that when our friends visited us on Saturday evening (6:00 p.m.) to check out the campground and have pizza with us (from the on-site restaurant), they had to pay an €8.75 entrance fee per person.
Early that morning, I’d asked what the policy was for visitors.
I was told they’d have to pay €6.00… okay, so that’s how it is.
When I asked why our friends now had to pay €8.75, I was told they’d have to look into it and couldn’t say anything about it at the moment.
I didn’t really like that, but it didn’t stop me from giving the campground 5 stars because we really like it.
I’d be happy if they could find a different solution for visitors.
We’ll definitely be back, but our friends (who are also campers) probably won’t.
Generally speaking, “affordable” is a bit of a stretch… as described in some other reviews, but if you want to travel on a budget, you’ll just have to look for other places.
We were very happy here...this is a translation, click here for the original

We spent our vacation last week at Camping Donnersberg. They really have everything well organized there. Everything is clean and practically brand-new. We stayed in a safari tent with private bathroom facilities. It was really nice, and the kitchen is fully equipped. We also tried taking a shower in the main bathroom building, and that was well-maintained too. Every morning we’d pick up bread rolls at the bakery—yes, it takes a little while, but hey, how fresh do you want it to be? 😍 Another option, of course, is just to get them at the supermarket. That’s about a 12-minute drive by car. But if you’re heading out anyway, it’s no problem at all. We wanted to take a handcar tour and needed some help making the reservation. Kirsten was a huge help with that. She also gave us a great tip to try the schnitzel at Pfelzblick. That’s highly recommended, too. The barefoot trail and the adjacent swimming pool are also fun places to visit. The GPS tour they organize at the campground is also a lot of fun. Tip: be sure to bring some food and drinks along for the road.

We ended up staying in our tent for 15 days during the early season. It was busier on the weekends, but during the week it was wonderfully quiet.
The restrooms were fine and clean. A 5-minute shower was more than enough.
The Wi-Fi worked great; unfortunately, there was no cell service, but that’s not the campground’s fault. Making calls over Wi-Fi worked fine.
The bakery was great, but they don’t arrive until after 9:15 a.m., and there’s always quite a line by then—but hey, you’re on vacation, so you’ve got plenty of time.
The interaction with the owners and staff was excellent. They always had time for a personal chat and were happy to help if there was a problem or if you were looking for something fun to do. And Bob’s cocktails are a must-try!
We’ll definitely be back.this is a translation, click here for the original
5 minuten douchetijd was ruim genoeg.

A very nice, well-maintained campground. We stayed there for 5 days with our trailer, and our daughter and her family stayed in a safari tent. We’re thrilled. Everything was very clean. You can go for lovely walks with the dog. The pool was the highlight for our grandchildren. Our daughter celebrated her birthday there on the garden terrace. The pizza was really delicious.
The owners are super friendly and always helpful.
And the “Aquashow” was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back.this is a translation, click here for the original
