Summary created out of 162 reviews

Guests praise the exceptionally friendly and helpful owners who run the park with warmth and dedication. The restaurant offers delicious food at very affordable prices, and the location near Kröv and the Moselle is perfect for cycling and hiking trips. While the sanitary facilities are kept clean, they are dated and a new building is currently under construction, which many see as a positive development.

After reading the reviews, we were very impressed and decided to book. After staying for two days, we can’t believe what we read. Bread roll service: No longer available
Bathrooms: Showers, etc., in the lower area—apparently a construction site for quite some time. The upper area has good, clean restrooms
Campsites: Lots of mice, and the sites aren’t properly marked out.
Restaurant: Very good food at a reasonable price
Management: Very friendly, but apparently short-staffed.
Would definitely not book here again.

Electrical outlets: In some cases, just an exposed cable reel

We were traveling by bike with a tent and spent one night at the upper campground.
The owner and staff are super nice. The only reason for deducting one star is the restroom facilities: at the upper campground, there’s a portable toilet container in the middle that looks like a construction site, complete with caution tape. The facilities at the lower campground are okay, but everything feels more or less like a temporary setup.

We stayed at the campground for the first time in July—a very nice little campground, a small family-run business. We received a very friendly welcome, had a large campsite, and the food was really great—they even had a soft-serve ice cream machine. The restrooms were clean; the new facilities were in use but, unfortunately, not yet fully completed. It’s sad that in Germany, tradespeople don’t get paid enough tradespeople to finish the facility—that’s what the owner said. It’s also a shame that the bread roll service was discontinued because the bakery had to close due to a staff shortage. Poor Germany—no young people want to get their hands dirty with manual labor anymore. We highly recommend this campground and would love to come back.
