General information

Are you looking for a unique place to stay and want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Then a beautiful treehouse awaits you, high in the Weser Uplands, opposite the unique Hohenrode plain in a bend of the Weser. Here you can experience nature in its purest form, observe seabirds and, with a little luck, even see a bald eagle fishing.

The tree house at Baumhaus Wesertal

The house is built in and around an old cherry tree, without burdening it: it stands on stilts, is built with a timber frame construction and rests on screw foundations to protect the tree roots. You reach the treehouse via a comfortable, wide staircase. Inside you will find modern and high-quality furniture.

In the downstairs living and sleeping area you will find a kitchenette with stove and refrigerator, a dining area, a large double bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. A safe and easily accessible staircase leads to the upstairs sleeping area in the attic, with another double bed. A child safety gate provides additional safety.

Free wifi and a telephone are available; other media distractions have been deliberately omitted. Heating is modern infrared panel heaters.

  • Suitable for: 4 people

  • Pet-free
  • Bed linen and bath towels included
  • Direct parking next to the treehouse

In the guestbook and on the wifi welcome page you will find many tips on shopping, restaurants and excursion destinations in the area, for a truly relaxing stay in harmony with nature.

The surroundings of Rinteln, Lower Saxony

The treehouse is located in the village of Hohenrode, part of Rinteln, with direct views of the Hohenrode floodplain - a nature reserve in a bend of the Weser River and an important habitat for numerous, sometimes rare, bird species. The region lies in the Weserbergland Nature Park, which offers a particularly varied landscape with the Weser River, extensive forests and wide vistas.

Hohenrode is one of the oldest church villages in the Weser Valley and boasts more than 1,000 years of history. Rinteln, with its lovingly preserved old town in Weser Renaissance style and good shopping facilities, is about 8 km away. Along the way you will also find two bakeries in Exten. About 19 km upstream along the Weser is Hameln, famous for the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and its impressive historic town center.

The price shown is based on the price per night and applies all year round for a one-week stay.
