Cottage Next XL superior - 6 persons

We just had a wonderful week with our family in a Next L Deluxe cottage. But then again… what does “Deluxe” actually mean?

To start on a positive note: the location is beautiful, with a great view, and the park itself is very well-maintained. The reception and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful, and the entertainment team is, for the most part, incredibly enthusiastic. It’s especially fun with young children.

What surprised us—and several other guests we spoke with—the most was the air conditioning policy. We paid about €2,800 for one week in a Next L Deluxe. That’s about €400 per day 😉. For that amount, the resort—as they call it—provides only 8 hours of air conditioning per day. If you want to keep the air conditioning on longer, you have to pay extra. In the middle of the Italian summer and for accommodations in this price range, we honestly find that rather unusual. We understand your goal, but I’d approach it differently.

But our biggest disappointment was the condition of the cottage itself. Our Next L Deluxe was clearly worn out and run-down. The furnishings were also very cheap. The photos shown when booking gave us absolutely no indication that the accommodation was in this condition. The reality was quite a letdown in that regard.

And that’s exactly where the problem lies for us: if you pay €2,800 for a week and deliberately book an accommodation called “Deluxe,” you have a right to expect that the appearance and condition will match that name.

That’s a shame, because we actually have positive things to say about the organization itself. Friendly and helpful staff, an enthusiastic entertainment team, a well-maintained campground, and a beautiful location. So the foundation is really solid. However, in our opinion, the accommodations and the air conditioning policy should better align with the price and what’s promised in advance.

We stayed at the Weekend Glamping Resort for 6 days with our own tent. We’d like to share our experience, because almost everything we saw and experienced was positive. We received a warm welcome upon arrival. Someone even accompanied us to our campsite to show us exactly where to go. We had reserved a refrigerator in advance, but due to a glitch in the system, it hadn’t been delivered. After I reported this to the front desk, it was taken care of in no time.

Our spot was ideal; we could sit in the shade at any time of day. We were right across from a washing area and close to the restrooms. Very convenient!
There were plenty of activities for our son, who’s almost 5: arts and crafts, a kids’ disco, and more... The activity leaders are multilingual and great with kids. They always said “hello” or “enjoy your meal” when they passed us. In the evening, there’s almost always a show for the whole family, and sometimes they’re really spectacular. The restrooms, the pool, the laundry area—everything was very clean. The view from the restaurant and from the pool is impressive. The restaurant staff is also very good with children. Everyone is super helpful. We ate at the restaurant once. We went for pizza and had expected more from it. Of course, we can’t comment on the rest of the food. If we may suggest one area for improvement, though: the sound system by the stage really needs to be replaced. We truly enjoyed our vacation and could really feel how much heart goes into this place. Unfortunately, there's no beach for swimming, but the pool is okay

We stayed there for two nights with our RV. Heads up: if you’re driving a car that’s 7.50 meters long, it’s almost too tight there... Arriving and leaving was quite the experience for us and all the other guests :-S
But it’s a beautiful place, with a nice variety of accommodations and sites. Great pool area; we couldn’t try the restaurant because they only had reservations and no empty tables... No idea how the system works. There’s a path to the lake, but no direct swimming spots there.

It’s a beautiful campground with a nice pool and two lovely hot tubs. The large tent we slept in was also very comfortable and cozy, though it does get quite warm inside. There’s also a variety of different types of accommodations, such as tents, bungalows, etc. There’s a fitness center and entertainment for the kids. There are various activities for children of all ages, and the staff is friendly—highly recommended.
