Discover medieval Castignano
Discover Castignano, a characterful village just a stone's throw from the park, where history is still tangible in every alley. Stroll past travertine houses and visit the church of Santa Maria del Borgo, linked to the traces of the Knights Templar. Along the way, dive into the story of the Stele di Castignano, one of the oldest examples of Italic script, found at Montecalvo and now preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Ascoli Piceno. In August, the medieval past comes to life again during the Templaria Festival, with theater, music, crafts, taverns and historical performances in the old center. Head out, wander around at your leisure and let Castignano surprise you today with stories, views and medieval atmosphere among the hills of the Marche.

Discover the beautiful nature of Monti Sibillini
Head into the mountains and discover the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini, a vast nature reserve of about 70,000 hectares with hiking and cycling routes for every level. If you want to gain altitude, choose Monte Vettore as an impressive destination. Prefer a quieter route? Then go to the Piana di Castelluccio, a plateau between the mountain peaks where wildflowers bloom en masse in the warm season. For an adventurous walk, the Gola dell’Infernaccio is highly recommended, a gorge along the Tenna River, with high rock walls on both sides. Rafting and horse riding are also possible in the mountain landscape. End your day in one of the villages and sample local products such as the famous lenticchie di Castelluccio.
Cycling through the Tronto valley
Explore the valley of the Tronto River by bike and follow quiet routes from the Apennines toward the Adriatic coast. Along the way, you will pass vineyards, olive groves and medieval hilltop villages. Start, for example, in Ascoli Piceno, stop at an agriturismo for local wine and combine your trip with Offida or a picnic with a view of the Sibillini. Discover the Marche at your own pace.
Taste the local wines of Offida
Discover the wine hills around Offida, where grape varieties such as Pecorino and Passerina are widely cultivated. Drive along small roads between vineyards and wine farms, and stop at a cantina for a tasting of local white wines. In Offida you will also find wine bars around Piazza del Popolo. Prefer red? Then taste Rosso Piceno or Rosso Piceno Superiore from the same region. Let yourself be surprised by the flavors of the Marche.

This agriturismo is a little corner of paradise nestled in nature! From the very first moment, you’re welcomed by a warm, genuine, and family-like atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The property is lovingly maintained down to the smallest detail, striking a perfect balance between tradition and modern comfort. I’ve returned twice, and the rooms have always been impeccable: spotless, spacious, and tastefully furnished, with a breathtaking view of the rolling hills of the Marche region—a view that truly invites you to slow down and breathe. To make your stay even more special, there’s also a beautiful pool, perfect for relaxing on hot days or enjoying a nice aperitif. For a unique experience, I noticed they also offer glamping, which lets you savor the charm of camping in a refined way—surrounded by silence, stars, and breathtaking landscapes—without sacrificing comfortable beds and well-organized spaces. The honey (wow!) as well as the olive oil and spelt—all produced on-site—are simply exceptional, a true expression of the region. And during the lavender bloom, the landscape becomes even more picturesque and fragrant, creating a truly unique atmosphere!! The owners, Alessia and Fabio, deserve a special mention: wonderful people, always helpful, attentive, and passionate, capable of turning every stay into an unforgettable memory. The location is perfect: in no time at all, you can reach gems like Grottammare, San Benedetto del Tronto, Offida, and Ascoli Piceno, as well as many charming villages where the food is divine. It’s the ideal place for those seeking relaxation, nature, and authenticity, but also for those who want to discover the wonders of the Marche region.
You arrive as guests… and leave wanting to return as soon as possible. Highly recommended!this is a translation, click here for the original
Consigliatissimo! -

This is a great place to stay, within easy driving distance of the beach and mountains. Fabio and his family were welcoming and kind hosts, making our stay feel like a home from home. He brought us fresh vegetables and fruit from his kitchen garden, honey, and organic spelt that he'd grown and when he took us to see his bees, he treated my boys like his own which was lovely.
The room is spacious and well furbished and the pool area is great especially with younger children. Next door is his brother's winery where we enjoyed a tasting and warm hospitality. They've done a great job refurbishing the old stone buildings and the views are beautiful across the countryside. There are even a few resident hoopoes!
Overall, if you're looking for a relaxing place to stay with moments of connection with local people, I can't recommend it enough! -
