Snorkeling and swimming in beautiful bays

The coast of Elba is known for its crystal-clear blue waters and small bays. A short distance from the campsite you'll find beaches such as Spiaggia Laconella and Spiaggia di Margidore, where you can snorkel perfectly among the fish. The water here is crystal clear and the white rocks create an almost tropical atmosphere. Bring a snorkel set, dive into the water and discover the underwater life of the Tuscan archipelago. Elba is brimming with atmospheric villages that invite you to wander around at your leisure. Portoferraio, just a few kilometers from the campsite, is the historic capital of the island. Stroll through narrow streets, visit the old fortifications, and enjoy an espresso on a sunny square. Marciana Marina is also highly recommended, with colorful houses, a small harbor, and cozy restaurants along the water. Sailing, diving and water sports at sea

The sea around Elba is one of the most beautiful places in Italy for water sports. From various harbors you can rent a sailboat or join a boat excursion along the coast. Underwater, a colorful world awaits with rock formations, fish, and crystal-clear water. That’s why the island is also popular with divers. In the area you can take diving courses or go on guided dives at special locations. Prefer something more tranquil? Get on a kayak or SUP board and paddle along cliffs and hidden beaches. From the water, you’ll discover places that are only accessible by boat. This way you can experience Elba in a unique way.

This peaceful holiday park is particularly appreciated for its friendly and helpful staff, who warmly welcome guests. The swimming pool with hydromassage is a popular facility, and the campsite offers spacious pitches with plenty of shade from numerous trees. Guests praise the central location on Elba, about one kilometre from Lacona beach, and the well-maintained, green surroundings with a pleasant atmosphere. The toilets and sanitary facilities are cleaned twice daily and experienced as tidy. A point of attention is the animation, which several guests found limited or absent, especially for those expecting a lively entertainment programme.

Excellent hospitality and a wonderful location surrounded by greenery and tranquility. We stayed in the apartments, which were spacious and well-furnished. There was a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely terrace for dining outdoors. The pool isn’t very large, but there were always spots available. The walk down to the beach isn’t very convenient, but you can request the shuttle service. It’s convenient to have a full-service bar and a grocery store right outside the campground (you can walk there by crossing the street). The location in the center of the island makes it easy to get to all parts of the coast. I highly recommend it.

After disembarking, we headed to the campground.
It’s relatively close—about 19 km if I remember correctly—but it feels like much farther with all the uphill climbs and sharp turns.
Once we arrived at the campground, I went to the reception desk and was greeted by a very friendly young woman. After giving her my tent number, I realized I didn’t have a power pole, and as I looked around, I noticed that the power poles were set up a bit haphazardly— and it was a bit noisy despite the quiet hours.
All the facilities were there, although in my opinion the lower section of the campground was quite run-down, while the restrooms in the upper section were well-maintained. Aside from that, the campground was very clean and well-equipped for a 3-star property; they have a very nice pool with a hot tub, but I didn’t like the fact that you’re required to wear a swim cap at a cost of 5 euros—which is a lot for that type of swim cap.
The entertainment staff was minimal—two girls and one guy—but they were very good at leading fitness activities in the pool. I really appreciated the children’s activities; I found the staff to be very patient, kind, and skilled in their work.
All in all, it’s a very nice place, and compared to other campsites, it was the most affordable.

The campground is supposed to be for those seeking peace and quiet, but that was probably true a while ago. All week long, there’s a food truck playing music until 11 p.m., which you can hear across most of the campground. The restrooms are decent and are cleaned very thoroughly twice a day. The pool is okay, though a bit worn out. You’re also very close to your neighbors behind you. The sites are fairly spacious, though. Overall, the campground is pretty noisy.

Zwembad is ok, beetje versleten.
