Lake Trasimeno, Italy.

The thermal baths of Bagni di San Filippo

Just over an hour in the car and you will arrive at the thermal baths of Bagni di San Filippo. The baths are located in a wooded area and some parts of the water are as high as 40 degrees. The smell takes some getting used to, but once you've rubbed yourself with the white sulfurous mud you'll enjoy a special day in and beside the water.

Enjoying music at Umbria Jazz

For decades, Umbria Jazz has been organized during the month of July. During this jazz festival in Perugia, several artists take the stage. From solo artists to groups, great shows await you for almost an entire week. Are you a music lover? Then it is definitely worth seeing if you can combine your vacation with a visit to the festival.

Water sports and adventure at Lake Trasimeno

Just a short walk from this glamping site with luxury safari tents is Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in central and southern Italy. In addition to relaxing on the beach, building sandcastles, or taking a dip in the water, you are also in the right place for various water sports. Windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing, and sailing, it's all possible! From the glamping, they organize different activities like boat trips or even a boat race, but you can also go on your own adventure. Go by boat to Maggiore Island where a number of restaurants can be found, or spend a day sailing around the lake. It's hard to sit still when you're vacationing at this beautiful Italian lake!

Summary created out of 239 reviews

The campsite is run by three warm-hearted sisters who welcome guests with genuine hospitality and personal care. Its location directly on Lake Trasimeno is beautiful and peaceful, offering lovely views and serving as an ideal base for exploring cities like Perugia and Assisi. The pool and entertainment are appreciated, especially by families with children. However, many note maintenance issues: sanitary facilities and accommodations are dated, there are many insects (particularly mosquitoes), and parts of the campsite and lake itself appear neglected.

The Lake is a bit Green, but they keep it nice and clean. Also Where boats could park it's all dried up because of the lowering of water of the Lake this has been taken over by Green Plants and the smell is not Nice, also the toilets are good and the Wash Places too! Multiple don't work and it's all old. The showers are terrible, no water pressure or any good Light. The Places are alright especially the Ones at the back those are big al lot of Shadow and Nice gusts of wind!

Such lovely people. They’re willing to do anything for you—they helped us when our gas tank ran out and even let us borrow the fan from their office for the night. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck—you can’t control nature. It was very hot, very dry, and the water level was very low. This led to a lot of algae in the lake, so we couldn’t swim or paddleboard. There were also a lot of flies that even got inside through the screens. The campground itself looks like a shadow of its former self; the kids thought it was “spooky.” It’s a real shame, because the staff is super friendly and the pool is nice. I hope they put a little more effort into the campground so it looks better.

Super lieve mensen.

One-night stay in the van: 45 euros. I’m from the countryside, and it didn’t take me long to remove a wasp nest from the utility pole, but dealing with all the insects that swarm in when it gets dark and the lights come on isn’t pleasant. There are just way too many of them. You have to stay in the dark or use a red light. There were even more of them in the bathrooms and where you wash the dishes. I would have liked to stay, but I changed my mind.

We were guests at the campground. We stayed in the RV area.
There are plenty of restrooms—they’re a bit dated but very clean. Since it’s a campground surrounded by nature, there are midges flitting about, especially at night, but they’re harmless. Hot showers (free). In the RV area, there are some privately owned trailers and cabins that, unfortunately, aren’t well-maintained. But otherwise, the campground is very nice.
There’s a fun adventure park. Desdemona is part of the entertainment staff; she was very affectionate with my daughter.
    The owners are very welcoming.
The bike path is very well-maintained.
    We’ll definitely be back.

Siamo stati ospiti del camping. Abbiamo pernottato nell'area camper.
    Pista ciclabile curatissima.
    Ci ritorneremo sicuramente

The staff is more than friendly.... The facility is a bit dated, with plenty of room for improvement, especially the bathrooms. The campground was probably in its prime when the lake was at a high level.... now it seems to have been neglected. Still, it’s a good base for anyone wanting to explore the area, whether heading east or west.

We stayed for a week on a campsite with our RV—the lake view was beautiful. We went on hikes, had lots of laughs, and had a great time, but we also enjoyed plenty of peace and quiet. It was wonderful to find a pet-friendly place; there were so many people with dogs, and the cats were free to roam wherever they wanted—everyone was incredibly friendly. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, always ready to meet every need with a smile. Everything was clean and well-maintained; I’ll definitely be back and will stay much longer. I ate there every day—I never cooked—and what can I say? It was truly a wonderful experience. Heartfelt congratulations to everyone.
