Trasimeno Glamping Resort is a really beautiful campground—or rather, a glamping site. In fact, it’s hardly even called a campground, and I’ve never seen such luxury anywhere else.

We stayed on a spacious, comfortable campsite with private restroom facilities. The restroom facilities were modern, clean, and were even cleaned for free once every eight nights at a time of our choosing. Outside the restroom stall, there was also a sink and a refrigerator, which was a really nice surprise for us. The only downside is that it can get very hot inside the stall. Some of our group stayed in a standard comfort site and used the regular restrooms. Strangely enough, the showers only had cold water, and the staff at the front desk couldn’t offer a solution. Fortunately, you don’t have this issue in the private restrooms.

The entire park is well-maintained, with plenty of greenery, flowers, and paved paths. The hedges around the campsites provide plenty of privacy. You can also use free Wi-Fi at the campground, which works great.

Swimming in the lake isn’t recommended. You can dip your feet in, but the water is very warm and therefore not very refreshing. We’ve been on vacation at Lake Trasimeno before, so we were already aware of this. At the lake, you can use the lounge chairs on the grass. We also made good use of the pool. The pool is neat and clean. The Spotty Spray Park, as the children’s pool is called, is a paradise for young children. However, even we adults had fun in the wonderfully refreshing water jets. We were there in June, so it wasn’t really that crowded at the pool—except on the weekends. Then there are a lot of Italians at the campground, and unfortunately, they also tend to reserve spots with their towels. The entertainment team organizes daily activities for all ages. In the evening, there’s a kids’ disco, but there are also daytime activities like water polo and Zumba in the pool. Later in the evening and at night, it’s generally quiet, although during our stay there were occasionally some noisy Italians who could have been better managed.

Anyone who thinks there’s absolutely nothing to do in the area is mistaken. Villages like Castiglione del Lago and Monte del Lago are just a 15-minute drive away. Panicale and Paciano are a 20-minute drive away. And don’t forget Corciano and Passignano. Don’t mind spending a little more time in the car? Then Assisi, Spello, and Gubbio are absolute must-sees! Val d’Orcia is also beautiful and just around the corner.

The staff at the campground are friendly and work hard to make your vacation fantastic. We also highly recommend dining at the restaurant or picking up takeout at least once. Prices are a bit higher by Italian standards, but the food is very tasty. If you’d like to cook for yourself and do some grocery shopping, you can head to the Conad, which is just a short distance away. There’s even a Spazio Conad in the shopping center near Corciano.

Unfortunately, it’s true that there are a lot of mosquitoes at the campground. Many of them don’t bite—these are dance flies. However, there are also plenty of mosquitoes that do bite. So be prepared for that!

We won’t be coming back here, but that’s purely because we’ve already explored most of the area. Otherwise, we’d happily stay here again. As far as I’m concerned, it’s definitely worth 5 stars. Perhaps we’ll visit another Vacanze Col Cuore campground someday.

We’re having a fantastic week! We have a campsite by the lagoon. We’ve been getting along great with the neighbors, and there’s a nice breeze. At night, there’s a “frog concert” from the frogs that live here, but we sleep right through it. There’s a great restaurant and fun activities for our 3-year-old daughter. Much of the entertainment is in Dutch, as are many of the people staying here.
The real downside, though, is the restroom facilities by the lagoon. It’s a toilet and shower in a plastic enclosure. It’s often dirty and smells bad. We usually shower at the large restroom building further down the way, which is just fine.
We think there are fun things to do in the area.
The pool is really fun—an ideal spray park for the little ones. I found that getting a spot wasn’t as hard as I expected. We went at different times and were always able to find a lounge chair.

First of all, a big compliment to the entertainment staff—they’re so talented and so kind to the kids (all day long). You can tell they’re having fun (both the kids and the staff)—it’s really impressive what they do.
The glamping site is located on a lake and features both newer and older cabins. We stayed in the older cabins, and this was perfectly fine considering the value for money.
The property is well-maintained, and the staff are very friendly.
The restaurant and pool are in top condition.
Lake Trasimeno is lower than usual, which means you can’t access the water directly from the campground. This wasn’t a problem for us, though. The kids wouldn’t leave the pool. And if we (especially me) wanted to go stand-up paddleboarding anyway, we could easily do so just a 10-minute drive away. It’s a beautiful, large lake with lovely, healthy water.
The cottages were fine; the earlier mention about the air conditioning (max 8 hours a day) is accurate, but to be honest, this wasn’t a problem for us. It cools down nicely at night, and during the day you’re rarely in the cottage anyway.

All in all, a wonderful stay.
