We've been here at "Dog Camp" for 3 days now. The idea behind it is nice enough, but as a guest you feel like second-class treatment, and there are way too many dogs in such a small space. There’s only a tiny bakery here, no supermarket, just one washhouse, and unfortunately, the stage for the loud evening entertainment is right next door. The regular campground is off-limits; you even have to use a separate exit if you’re bringing a dog. One positive thing is the dog pool. If they fenced it in, the dogs could run around freely and it would be less stressful—especially since the kids’ pool is right next to it. The third pool right next to it is the only way to swim normally without having to pay extra. Unfortunately, word has already gotten around, and the lounge chairs are being taken by guests without dogs. Yes, that’s right. Just to go for a swim, you have to pay extra—€12.50 per day. This concept doesn’t make sense either. Everything that involves action and fun is free, but if you want to swim in peace, you have to pay. It’s certainly great here without a dog and with kids. However, if you’re looking for peace and quiet and want to enjoy a relaxing time with your dog, you’re somehow not welcome here.

*The Campground of Bans* 1 star for the well-equipped dog camp: dog runs, a pool, friendly dog trainers... etc. But that’s about it. There’s a washhouse at the dog camp—you’re not allowed to park far away from it. You can also check out the huge Arenal, but without setting a paw on it! Fine. You can hire a dog sitter there. But even then, the dog was locked in a room and barked its heart out for hours—not a soul in sight. Strange dog-sitting. You can check out the big Arenal—but without your dog. It’s a barrage of restrictions here. If we’d known all this BEFORE: we would never have come here, especially not for this price range and 5-star rating. That should be on a whole different level. The customer is KING, not a pariah. Absolutely NOT recommended for dog owners! Never again. There are 1,000 better campsites where dogs are welcome everywhere.

Niiie wieder. Da gibts 1000 bessere Campingplätze, wo Hunde überall willkommen sind.
