At farm De Bosrand, on the edge of a beautiful forest and close to an idyllic forest lake, you will find complete relaxation. Farmer Martijn and farmer's wife Naduah have lived here since 2021 and share their dream spot with guests. Together with their children Dayo and Maya, they run a cozy campsite full of animals: from ponies and alpacas to donkeys and rabbits. Enjoy pony walks, supping on the lake, and endless forest adventures for young and old!

Drouwenerzand amusement park (10 min.)

Attractiepark Drouwenerzand is the affordable family amusement park in Drenthe. Here you pay a fixed price and all attractions and food are included! From roller coasters and merry-go-rounds to water fun and climbing equipment - there is something fun for all ages. For the little ones there is soft play equipment, and for the daredevils fast roller coasters. The park is uncluttered and ideal for a carefree day of fun for the whole family.

Remembrance center Westerbork (20 min.)

Remembrance Center Westerbork is an impressive place with an important story. Here you will learn about the history of Camp Westerbork and the impact of World War II. A visit begins in the museum with exhibits and personal stories, after which you can explore the camp grounds on your own. The monuments and remains give you an impression of life back then. Plopsa Indoor Coevorden (40 min.)

Plopsa Indoor Coevorden is a fantastic indoor amusement park for young children, based entirely on Studio 100 characters such as Bumba, Gnome Plop and Mega Mindy. The park offers a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions, perfect for a day full of variety. Inside, children can have fun on the merry-go-rounds, slides and ball pool, while the outdoor area has challenging playgrounds and water attractions. Between attractions, there are regular shows where children meet their favorite characters and dance along. For parents, there is a cozy terrace where they can easily keep an eye on their children. Plopsa Indoor Coevorden offers a safe, accessible and joyful experience, where little ones can immerse themselves completely in the world of their heroes.

Museum village of Orvelte (15 min.)

Museum Village Orvelte takes you back in time in a lively village full of history and crafts. Here you walk through atmospheric streets with characteristic farms, workshops and stores. Craftsmen show how they used to work, such as the clog maker and blacksmith, and in the village store you can taste nostalgic sweets. For children, there are educational scavenger hunts, an old-fashioned playground and plenty of space to explore. During the summer months, events such as markets and historical demonstrations are organized regularly, bringing the village to life. Orvelte offers you a glimpse of the past, in the middle of Drenthe's nature, and is an inspiring destination for families who want to take a step back in time together.

    Wat een fijne plek is dit. Midden in de natuur, met veel ruimte en dieren (oa pony's en alpaca's!) De sfeer is heel relaxed, kinderen vermaken zich over het hele terrein met de dieren, skelters en speeltoestellen. Op het activiteitenbord staat precies aangegeven wanneer de activiteiten plaatsvinden en wanneer het restaurant geopend is. De medewerkers doen er alles aan om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Ik verbleef er 4 dagen, als uitgangspunt voor wandelen in de omgeving. Eerst 2 dagen in een Zweedse stuga. Die zou ik persoonlijk niet nog eens boeken, het huisje was voor mij te basic, onder andere erg dunne matrasjes. De medewerkers deden erg hun best voor mij, er werd bijv. direct een kacheltje gebracht toen deze er niet bleek te zijn. Er werd meegedacht aan een oplossing mbt de bedden. Daarna verbleef ik 2 dagen in een farmtent. Een zeer luxe glampingtent, van alle gemakken voorzien. Toen daar de gaskachel het niet bleek te doen (kapotte startklikker) kwam er direct iemand om deze te repareren. Al met al een aanrader om vakantie door te brengen!

    Wij stonden er met de camper en onze kleinzoon. Veel dieren en overal skelter, fietsjes die je mag gebruiken. Voetballen, trampolines zandbakken met speelgoed. Toiletgebouw netjes. Bos en water in de buurt.

    Super leuke camping voor kinderen waar ze zich uit kunnen leven tussen de dieren en met de diverse skelters en fietsen die ter beschikking worden gesteld. Martijn en Naduah (eigenaren) zijn super behulpzaam en staan voor je klaar als het nodig is. Broodjes in de ochtend is zeker een aanrader, die brengen ze nog warm naar je plek! Super leuk weekend gehad en is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

    Een hele leuke camping met veel leuke dingen voor kinderen. Skelters, leuke speeltuin en natuurlijk veel dieren. In een hele mooie omgeving.

    Bijzonder mooie plek in het bos (hart van Drenthe)met middel groot maar heerlijk boszwemmeer. Diverse wandelroutes en fietsroutes direct vanaf de camping. Overal staat speelgoed voor iedereen. Wat het wel heel gezellig maakt is dat elk veld een eigen dieren verblijf heeft in het midden. Wij stonden bij de alpacas en andere veldjes hadden ezels, koeien, kippen, pony's. Ook kun je een eigen knuffelpony bij je tent of huisje huren en paardrijden oid. Vriendelijke eigenaren :)
