Water lodge 6 - 6 persons

We visited Europarcs for a week in October 2026. The accommodation we booked was Berkel 4.
First things first: all in all, we were satisfied, but our expectations weren’t quite met the way we would have liked.

We had booked the accommodation for two adults and an infant. Looking at the first photo in the gallery—which shows a little … house in the sand—we mistakenly assumed the house was right by the sea or the beach. That’s not the case.
In hindsight, that was actually a good thing, since the wind and weather would have blown even more sand and dirt into the house than there already was.

In the Netherlands, it’s standard practice to pay for bed linens separately. As a German, you’re not used to that either, but it does drive up the price even further.

In addition, we booked a “Deluxe Package,” which was supposed to include, among other things, coffee for the duration of our stay. However, this was only enough for 3 cups, and only 2 coffee filters were provided, even though we were staying for 6 days.

There was neither salt nor oil, so if you wanted to cook, you had to provide everything yourself.

The towel package also didn’t include a shower mat or a hand towel for after using the restroom. So you’re still forced to bring your own towels.

Overall, the contents of the Dekuxe package were unclear, and in hindsight, I wouldn’t have booked it again.

All in all, the vacation park could use some renovation, but it’s certainly a good option for families with children.

The park—especially facilities like the restaurant and swimming pool—is really showing its age. The restaurant is dark and uninviting, and it’s closed two days a week, which is ridiculous. The beach area is extremely small for the number of visitors and is located right next to the campground. Some areas are poorly maintained, especially around the more affordable cottages. The park is in desperate need of a makeover!

A very nice park—clean and tidy—and so is the house. There are plenty of things to do in the area. We'd love to come back.

The accommodations are downright filthy: dirty cups, plates, glasses, and soup bowls in the cabinets; a thick layer of dust on the range hood; the coffee table is broken—it’s missing one of its three legs. All the walls are dirty. The couch is broken—you can only sit at the dining table. There’s a thick layer of ice in the freezer, and much more. … An email was sent to Europarcs as requested, but there has been no response.

I’ll never come here again—I hope a lot of people read this.
600 euros for 4 days is an outrageously high price for this accommodation. Read more Show less
