Summary created out of 199 reviews

MarinaPark Beach Resort Soal is located directly on the IJsselmeer with a beautiful beach and good facilities including a supermarket and restaurant. The location is widely praised by guests, as well as the friendly staff and clean sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, stays are currently overshadowed by large-scale construction work for new villas and bungalows, causing significant noise disruption from 7am onwards. Guests feel misled as construction work was not always clearly communicated in advance, and the park appears to be increasingly focusing on luxury accommodation at the expense of camping pitches.

We were supposed to stay for a week, but unfortunately had to leave two days early because my son got sick.
We had booked a spot at Surffeld and weren’t disappointed. The facility was clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the food at the snack bar was really good, and the restaurant at Surffeld was great, too. The wash houses with showers, restrooms, and sinks were always clean and didn’t really need renovating (though that always depends on what you expect). There was a construction site in front of the chalets, but we didn’t notice it at all. And besides, work has to be done sometimes at a large “campground.”
From the Surffeld, it was only a two-minute walk to the beach, and we also had a small “harbor” (a dock for small boats) right next to us. The small supermarket has everything you need for daily life, and the prices are reasonable. Otherwise, it’s a 3-km drive to the town center, where you can shop wonderfully.
For me and my son, one thing is certain: this wasn’t our last visit, and we’d love to come back!
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay <3

I’ll leave out the ocean and the great wind for kitesurfing for now. My wife and I are traveling in our RV.
The resort is changing: guesthouses and chalets are the future; traditional campers are probably no longer welcome. It’s creepy—there’s no atmosphere left. Everything’s cramped, uniform, and lacking in charm. The RV sites aren’t separated (e.g., by a hedge). Campers aren’t parking as they usually do, so there’s zero privacy. In the wash houses, there are no outlets at the sink area—just ONE in total. Showers cost 20 cents per minute. Trash containers are overflowing; glass bottles are already piled up in front of the container. At these prices (booking a camper/2 people a year in advance = 72€/day, last-minute booking = 42€/day), it’s too expensive and annoying. A sauna for 2 people for 2 hours costs 75€, with the added risk that up to 4 more strangers might book in with you. The one bright spot is the staff at the front desk—they’re friendly, helpful, and even speak German. Overall, though, this place is no longer suitable for traditional campers. This was our first and last time here. Good luck with the new concept 👋

Unfortunately, all the original owners were evicted.
Now it feels like a container village. Even though the containers are better equipped, they’re built on wooden platforms. In my opinion, they’re definitely not worth the money—neither to buy nor to rent. I think about 1,500€ per week would be the absolute maximum. It’s a shame that so many people had to leave because of this. We long for the rustic and lively atmosphere there.
