This nature campsite is beautifully situated in the middle of the forest in the Veluwe, with spacious and green pitches offering plenty of privacy. Guests appreciate the friendly staff, the tranquility, and the opportunity to hike or cycle directly from the campsite. The sanitary facilities are cleaned frequently, although they are partly outdated and can become dirty quickly when busy. The surroundings are ideal for dog owners thanks to the nearby fenced dog forest.

Arrived, and pitch completely flooded an inch deep, with no way to get my camper on site, or the alternatives offered. Huttopia agreed to a refund when contacted centrally. Site seemed very nice so shame we weren’t able to stay. -

We were staying at the campground—a lovely campground with really nice, spacious sites. It was supposed to be car-free, though. But anyway, cars weren’t driving in and out all day long. Even from people staying there who were just popping out to run errands. The code for the railroad crossing gates was given out too easily, which is still a hassle for us with a small child. We deliberately choose car-free campgrounds. Even cars that stayed parked right next to the tents—I don’t want to be staring at them all the time. After complaining several times, nothing was done about it. A lot of the entertainment was also canceled. I understand that having sick people on site is a hassle. But to be perfectly honest, I’m paying for these amenities. Even the pool was closed on a hot day because the water quality wasn’t up to standard. That means they weren’t keeping a close enough eye on it. The night before, we’d already commented to each other about how dirty the pool was. We even reported it at the front desk, but unfortunately, nothing was done about it. Again, there are too many sick people. We had to order pizza for takeout a few days in a row because of the sick people. Yeah, that’s a bummer. You’re looking for a solution, right? Especially for the people who were working! Wow, those young people behind the bar stayed calm, worked really hard, and helped everyone with just as much patience. Maybe you should implement the Huttopia concept more fully. You can’t pay at the bar—just give your number and pay your bill at the end. This would save a lot of time at the bar. On the patio, etc. And that’s the whole concept of Huttopia—it works great in France. Then there’s the restrooms. There are far too few of them. No accessible restroom—very inconvenient. And no baby-changing stations. Also very inconvenient. The showers are fine, though not always very clean. But that lady really is doing her best, honestly. But with so many people and so few buildings, the restrooms should definitely be cleaned every two hours. Six restrooms per building just isn’t very many. But it’s not terribly dirty either. Yeah, a bit of mud—I can look past that—and you can’t really avoid the wet and sand around the building. The location is truly beautiful. You feel like you’re in a forest (albeit with a road 😉), but you can see the field mice scurrying about and the birds flying by. Then you can just walk or bike right into the forest—it’s wonderful, really. There are some areas for improvement, but those can be worked on ✌️.

Niet altijd even schoon.

Beautiful surroundings, spacious campsites, and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. When it gets dark, it’s truly dark and wonderfully quiet at the campground. We really enjoyed that.
One minor issue was the drainage. We were on a site with very little grass, and after a day of heavy rain, we found ourselves standing in puddles of up to 5 cm of water in some spots. Perhaps something to consider when assigning campsites.
Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the restrooms. The newer restroom building looks very nice both inside and out, but while showering, we noticed that the water pressure dropped significantly as soon as several people were showering at the same time. This made it difficult to take a comfortable shower at times.
It’s also important to keep in mind that you’re truly camping in the middle of nature here. Even though we stored all our food in sealed containers and took out our trash bag every evening, we had visits from mice that came into our tent at night to eat our snacks. On our last night, we even found that our tent mat had been gnawed on in several places.
Of course, that’s all part of camping in nature, but if you’re bringing a tent without a fixed groundsheet, it’s good to keep this in mind.
All in all, a lovely and peaceful campground in a beautiful location, with the natural surroundings and the atmosphere being its biggest pluses. However, there are a few practical issues that made our stay a little less enjoyable.this is a translation, click here for the original
Hierdoor was comfortabel douchen soms lastig.
