Beach House - 4 persons

Great campground. Rented a Solo Retreat cabin—the kitchen was missing one thing: a dish rack for the dishes.

Overall, it’s really a great park; we stayed in the Cube Executive 4 cabin. There’s plenty of space, and the living/kitchen area is really large—though the bathroom is tiny. The biggest drawback, though, is that it’s not insulated, so it’s basically not bookable in the summer. Great large windows, with sun protection in the form of interior curtains. Pointless. Sun protection needs to be in front of the glass. You come home to a 45-degree house. You’d actually have to leave everything wide open just to be able to sleep.
Cleanliness??? Yeah, that’s an issue. But I saw the two young guys who handle it—you can’t really be mad at them. After all, they’re practically teenagers and don’t have an eye for that yet. When I vacuumed everything, it was definitely cleaner than when I moved in.
Outdoor area: A total disaster. It’s a shame because it could all be so much nicer.
When you’re sitting outside, ants are constantly crawling all over you. There are ant nests all around the house.
We still had a great time, but I definitely wouldn’t book this house again during the summer months.

This is our second time using EuroParcs in the Netherlands. We stayed in a La Mer 4 accommodation with our dog. Overall, it was clean and well-equipped, though the rooms were slightly smaller than our last EuroParcs stay.

A minor design flaw: the bathroom door is right next to the main bedroom door, so you have to be careful not to bang them together!

​A few things to keep in mind for hot weather:
​No Air Conditioning: With 36°C temperatures outside, the large living room windows and French doors made it feel like a greenhouse.

​Mosquitoes: There were quite a few around, but that was expected given the time of year and heat.

​Gym: Located in an unventilated loft, which felt like a sauna in the heat.

​The Highlights:
​Outside Area: The enclosed hedge around our unit was fantastic and very secure for our dog.

​Pool & Wellness: The kids loved the pool, and the wellness area/sauna was excellent. Tip: Avoid the pool between 10:00 and 12:00 —they hold swimming lessons for toddlers then, and splashing can net you a few glare!

​Staff: Super friendly, lovely, and helpful throughout our stay.

​Location: Great base! It's ~40 minutes to Amsterdam and under 30 minutes to Walibi Holland (a must-do for kids, though note they are strict on the 1.4m height limit for big rides).

​Areas for Improvement:
​On-site Shop: Very limited compared to other parks. You can order fresh bread in advance, but don't expect a fully stocked mini-market for basics like eggs, milk, butter, or coffee.

​Tech & Amenities: The barcodes in our welcome pack mostly didn't work which was surprising. The fun zone room was closed for our entire stay, and there was no entertainment team.

​Nearby Beach: Note that the beach is not a part of the park. It is right next door (3-min walk) does not allow dogs from April to October. The water quality was also poor due to the heatwave, so we stuck to the pool.

​Road Noise: The park is near a main road and motorway, so there is constant background traffic noise. Not laud but always there.

​Despite the heat-related challenges, we had a good stay and appreciated the lovely staff!

We were very disappointed with our stay. The house we ended up with wasn’t the one we thought we’d booked based on the photos and description on the website. For a rental costing around 1,500 €, we clearly expected much better.

First major problem: the heat inside the house was simply unbearable. While it was around 33°C outside during the day, we recorded temperatures as high as 41°C INSIDE the house in the evening! It was impossible to get comfortable or sleep properly under these conditions. For a rental at this price, it’s truly unacceptable.

Another unpleasant surprise: towels aren’t even included in the €1,500 rental fee. You have to pay an additional €5 PER TOWEL to get them. At this price point, charging separately for something so basic is frankly outrageous.

You also have to pay to use the washing machines: €4.50 per load. And in my case, I had to make the payment THREE TIMES because the machine was turned off, yet the payment was still charged. Result: €13.50 spent on a single load of laundry!

In the end, you’re already paying a significant amount for the accommodation, and once you’re there, you discover even more additional fees. Between the house not matching the description, the 41°C inside, the towels you have to pay for, and the pay-per-use washing machines with operational issues, the value for money is really very poor.

At €1,500 for the rental, we expected a minimum level of comfort and services. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. I do not recommend it.
