We spent 4 days in a Tiny House and were able to explore the area thoroughly by bike and on foot. Basically, we had everything we needed in the Tiny House. The only thing missing was the pull cord for the skylight (it looked like it had broken off?), which made it really hot inside during the day when the sun shone through the large windows. Also, the shower was clogged: after reporting it to the front desk, the issue was resolved fairly quickly. I do think the cottages could be cleaned more thoroughly, but I suppose that’s true of all vacation parks these days.

Not the best experience. Camping parcel was tiny and uneven. Good indoor pool. Awful smelly lake. Would not go to swim. Staff was nice and welcoming. Only stayed as visiting Hoge Veluwe and it was so close to it.

The cleaning of the cottages leaves something to be desired. The surroundings and the park itself are beautiful. There’s plenty for the kids to do, so the parents have a good time, too.

It’s a beautifully maintained park with plenty of greenery and no litter anywhere. Lovely sandy soil, nature, birds, squirrels—you name it. On the edge of Hoge Veluwe National Park, near Wanbuis, Ginkelse Heide, museums, and Ede—a great starting point for exploring Apeldoorn and Arnhem. Check-in goes smoothly, with good service and a friendly front desk. Nice indoor pool. Good facilities for children. Well-maintained sandy areas, a fishing pond, trails, and small bodies of water. A neat restaurant for snacks and drinks, a fry shop (during peak season), a sports bar, and helpful staff. Chalets and cottages come in various styles and are spread throughout the park. You can see this on the map. It depends a bit on where the system assigns you, and of course on what you’ve booked. We were in Q25, which wasn’t bad in itself. Quiet in the evening after 9:00 p.m. Just a bit close to the public road (traffic noise), where people drive very fast during the day (80 km). Within the park, Q25 is located on a route where landscaping crews, mowers, and trailers pass by several times a day, making quite a bit of noise (from about 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); the cleaning crew also passes by (they ride bicycles and use picnic carts, so they make hardly any noise). The larger accommodations (Strand and Buntgras), as well as the newer 4–6-person chalets Heideveld and Jeneverbes, are in a quieter area and are also better maintained and cleaner. That might make sense, since J, P, O, and N, Q are older and in slightly poorer condition. We even found a few dirty pans ourselves. Unfortunately, we also noticed some shortcomings—incomplete sets of dishes, glasses, etc.—and we didn’t know that coffee was made with capsules instead of a regular machine (though that’s not a big deal). But a quick trip to the local Spar (which even delivers your groceries if you spend at least 25 euros—kudos!) took care of that. We noticed there were mice everywhere, even in the walls and ceiling of this chalet. And they even came into the kitchen cabinets at night. Now, we’re not here to stay in the chalet 24/7, and it was summer, but I can imagine that during the other three seasons, it’s a bit less pleasant with these “roommates,” who also help themselves to our food. On the plus side, it’s close to Otterlo, a charming little village with plenty of recreational activities. It’s wonderful to be surrounded by nature.

I've never seen such a dirty place to stay.
The couch, the floor, and even the mattress protector were covered in dog hair left by the previous guest.
The “loft” around the bed was so full of dust and hair.
Glasses and dishes were left so dirty that I felt completely disgusted.

Since the front desk was already closed, I cleaned up myself. What a great start to the vacation.
The next day, they did a bit of cleaning up, but forgot to lock the door again. Because of the inconvenience, we were given two free drinks at the restaurant.
But even there, the food was inedible.

Too bad, because the surroundings were absolutely beautiful for biking.
