Lovely stay in the chalet. Very friendly with children and patient with children's orders, for example. Dogs are also welcome guests. We would love to come back!

A few months ago, we stayed in one of the chalets for a week with our friends. Our friends are often there with the whole family. The site is very clean and there are lots of modern playgrounds for children. You have the option of using an indoor/outdoor pool free of charge. Unfortunately, we noticed that there was no supervision in the swimming area, so unsupervised children were constantly jumping into the pool and generally behaving inconsiderately. When we asked at the information desk if someone could take a look, the staff just shrugged their shoulders. There is also a fitness room with equipment, but we didn't use it. However, the staff were generally friendly. Our chalet was intended for up to 6 people, but only 1 car was allowed on site and there are very few parking spaces in front of the main entrance. Given the number of chalets, we imagine this would be difficult. As my wife and I are die-hard tent campers and generally don't cook on vacation but eat out, we thought it was a shame that there was only one very expensive restaurant on site, which would probably break the vacation budget if we visited it several times. We don't generally pay attention to costs on vacation, but we really didn't have to. We are also used to going on excursions during the day, visiting places and eating out. You don't even come into contact with the neighbors, as everyone keeps to themselves. Here you are pretty much cut off from the world and keep to yourself. You have to travel 30 km or more to get out and about. Ok, Obelink is in the village and you can easily spend a day here... but there's not much else for adults to see. The site is mainly designed for families with children, where the parents just want to have some peace and quiet from the children, as they can keep themselves occupied all day. It may be a paradise for cyclists and hikers, as everything is flat here. But unfortunately my wife is physically limited, so that wouldn't be an option for us. This campsite gives the impression that it is designed to accommodate as many people as possible. Almost all the permanent campers have disappeared and there are building sites all around the edge to erect chalets and accommodate even more holidaymakers. Tents could only be seen on a large meadow, which would not be an option for us either, as we always prefer a permanent pitch. In addition, the sanitary building is some distance away. Our personal conclusion is therefore: We would deprive this site of the term "campsite", as "chalet pitch, with a few unpaved pitches" is much more accurate. Anyone who is prepared to pay around €1000/week for a chalet, or to stand on the grass with a tent, or to get muddy in the rain with a caravan and motorhome, may find a place here. However, we remain tent campers and prefer to visit places that are paved and from which you can discover and experience a little something, which are also usually much cheaper at 300-400€/week. We are well aware that camping vacations have nothing to do with being cheap and we don't want to do without a certain level of comfort, even with a tent. But the price-performance ratio simply has to be right. And from our point of view, this is unfortunately not the case here. Because a clean site and a few playgrounds simply don't justify it. From our point of view! Another thing we noticed is that the pitches for caravans and mobile homes are not paved, just sanded. That would be better. Because it's sure to get muddy when it rains. Maybe some people see our impression as "complaining on a high level", but if, like us, you have got to know other, more beautiful and, above all, more attractive campsites, which are also much cheaper, although they also offer chalets, tiny houses or barrels, you just draw certain comparisons.
