Summary created out of 587 reviews

The park enjoys a beautiful location on the Rhederlaagse Meer, with direct access to the water and plenty of cycling opportunities in the surrounding area. Guests appreciate the friendly reception staff, the swimming pool, and the spacious pitches separated by hedges. At the same time, there are many complaints about neglected maintenance: outdated and dirty sanitary facilities, unmown grass, overgrown stinging nettles, and poorly maintained paths. The beach is often covered with goose droppings, facilities such as restaurants and bars are frequently closed, and various technical amenities (electricity, wifi, water connections) do not function properly.

Unfortunately, a big disappointment—there’s still a lot of room for improvement

We would have liked a friendly welcome and proper orientation upon arrival. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case at all.

We weren’t given important information at the front desk. We only found out later that you have to buy shower tokens just to be able to take a shower. Such basic information should be provided upon arrival as a matter of course.

    The campsites and outdoor facilities:
The first disappointment came as soon as we arrived: The campsite was overgrown with tall grass and weeds and was also completely littered with trash. In general, the entire outdoor area gives a very unkempt impression. The hedges look terrible—even after being trimmed, there’s no sign of professionalism here.
When we brought up the condition of our site at the front desk, we received an unbelievable response from the staff member. She asked us in an annoyed tone if we actually realized how many people complain here every day—she said there was nothing more she could do about it now. An absolutely unacceptable attitude toward service!
    Limited beach access:
We had also been looking forward to the beach, but were bitterly disappointed. Only a small portion of it is usable. The much larger section is littered with unidentifiable debris, making it completely unappealing to spend any time there. It also seems like no one is taking care of the beach area.
    The water supply:
At times, the water supply to the campsites and in the restroom building completely failed. When this was brought to their attention, the front desk dismissed it very half-heartedly with the absurd comment: “Oh, well then, you’ve all probably already used up 50,000 liters of water.” Whatever that was supposed to mean—it’s certainly not customer-friendly. At least, after some time, water was available again for the rest of our vacation.
    The restrooms (a hygiene nightmare):
What we witnessed during the cleaning of the restroom facilities was the icing on the cake. The cleaning is extremely superficial and disregards all hygiene standards:
A single cleaning rag for all restroom stalls.
A single cleaning bucket and a single floor mop for all restrooms and shower rooms.
The whole process apparently took place without any visible cleaning agents or disinfectants.
Furthermore, there are no daily inspections. Soap and toilet paper weren’t restocked for days, so we regularly found ourselves standing in front of empty dispensers—it goes without saying that the restrooms looked accordingly.
    Conclusion:
They’re happy to take guests’ money here, but absolutely nothing is invested in maintenance, hygiene, the beach, or service. We definitely won’t be coming back.

Paid almost 1,000 euros for 7 nights. When I arrived at the cottage, it was FULL OF flies. There were what looked like bloodstains or feces on the duvet covers.
A filthy shower that stank so bad I had to get some bleach. No instructions for the hot tub or anything else (there was a whole ring of grime around it)

Also, on the cottage’s patio, the floor was laid in such a way that the chair legs would sink through the floor if you weren’t careful (which is exactly what happened).

But I’m not getting my deposit back because of a full trash can, a colander in the sink, and candy and chip crumbs in the cabinets.

Keep that money and do something about your cleaning team and the safety of the accommodation.

Bijna 1000 euro betaald voor 7 nachten. Aangekomen in huisje VOL MET vliegen.
