Summary created out of 602 reviews

The park enjoys a beautiful location on the Rhederlaagse Meer, with direct access to the water and plenty of cycling opportunities in the surrounding area. Guests appreciate the friendly reception staff, the swimming pool, and the spacious pitches separated by hedges. At the same time, there are many complaints about neglected maintenance: outdated and dirty sanitary facilities, unmown grass, overgrown stinging nettles, and poorly maintained paths. The beach is often covered with goose droppings, facilities such as restaurants and bars are frequently closed, and various technical amenities (electricity, wifi, water connections) do not function properly.

•It’s not a car-free campground as described. Cars are parked wherever there’s space (on empty campsites, in the playground—anywhere there happens to be room). We first had to figure out whose car was parked on our campsite.

•You need shower tokens to take a shower. In the afternoons, there’s often no water. The showers are very outdated. Not suitable for washing children’s hair, for example.

    • Supermarket (Micromarkt)—well, if you can call it that—there are no prices on the shelves or in the refrigerators. The staff, however, are very nice.

•The playground on the campground is very run-down; the playground by the swimming pool is very nice, but unfortunately it’s mostly taken over by teenagers.

•The swimming pool is unsupervised. Entry is by card only. In the evenings and even during the day, many people climb over the fence to get in.

•The campground is separated by a major road.

•No parking available to check in.

•The reception desk and the bakery don’t open until 9 a.m. The reception desk is only open until 5 p.m.

•Despite everything, the staff was very nice, helped us with our problems, and did their best.

    An absolute disaster

You should definitely avoid this place
Everything’s been trashed and left a mess

We’ve been camping for 50 years and have never experienced anything like this

    We’re just appalled!!!

    Absolute Katastrophe

Everything was just pretty disappointing in terms of facilities and maintenance.

    Such a shame.

The hiking trails were poorly mowed and there was dog poop everywhere.

    Bathrooms were dirty

    Streets were in bad shape

    Stairs were damaged and wobbly

The campground store had very little to buy

All permanent residents who drink way too much and drive around the campground drunk in cars and on scooters—no one says anything about it. (My girlfriend was almost hit by a car)

Swimming pool has way too much chlorine

    No lifeguards on duty

Toddler pool has dirty, murky water

Beach is impassable due to seaweed and algae

In short, there are really a lot of issues and it was a sad experience.

The only bright spot is the two girls who are working with the children. They really enjoy it and genuinely love spending time with the kids who come to join in.

Alles was gewoon vrij teleurstellend qua faciliteiten en onderhoud.

    Echt jammer.

Trekkers veld slecht gemaaid en overal hondenpoep.

    Badkamers vies

    Straten kapot

    Peuterbad vies troebel water

    Disaster!
We were there as a family with 4 children, rented a house for 4 days, and paid €1,000. The value for money was terrible.
The campground was very dirty, the house was filthy, and some items were broken. On the patio, the dining table was broken and lying on the floor; there were several large bricks in the garden, and the grill was unusable because it was so filthy. When we brought this up at the front desk, they didn’t really take us seriously. No internet access anywhere on the property. The pool area and the playground were pretty good.
    Not recommended!!

    Katastrophe!
    Keine Empfehlung!!

Please be sure to translate and read the Terms and Conditions before making a reservation and payment, especially the section regarding cancellations.
We booked the campsite 6 weeks before our trip and had to pay the full amount right away. 3.5 weeks before our trip, we had to cancel the reservation for family reasons. They withheld 90% of the total amount and charged an additional 25 euro cancellation fee; so we only got a tiny amount back.
Unfortunately, we hadn’t read the cancellation policy before making the reservation and paying the full amount—otherwise, we wouldn’t have booked!

The accommodations and the house were 5 out of 5 stars. Well-equipped, clean, and friendly hosts. The park itself isn't very nice. The lake is extremely dirty and has very little sandy beach. Dirty showers and disgusting restrooms. There are only about 10 lounge chairs by the pool, and no additional chairs or shaded areas. The kids’ pool is very dirty. Loud music all the time.
