Summary created out of 253 reviews

De Pampel is a family campsite in the heart of the Veluwe, valued for its beautiful forested location and excellent facilities for children. Guests praise the enthusiastic animation team, the many playgrounds scattered across the site, and the swimming pool with slide. Staff are often experienced as friendly and helpful, and the pitches are spacious and varied (sun/shade). At the same time, there are significant complaints about the strict wristband policy, which many find intimidating and unfriendly. Sanitary facilities receive mixed reviews: some find them clean and well-maintained, others complain about inadequate cleaning, musty smells, and insufficient capacity. The pool water is considered too cold by many guests, and opening hours of the restaurant and shop are limited. The balance between a beautiful natural location and areas for improvement in hospitality and comfort defines the experience.

What a really nice campground. We stopped by unexpectedly to spend a few nights in Apeldoorn. It’s quiet here. You can choose whether to set up on an open field or in the woods. And the restrooms are very clean. They’re nice and warm, too.
    Highly recommended

We spent two weeks at De Pampel Campground. In addition to the beautiful surroundings for biking, we had a wonderful stay at De Pampel. It’s a lovely campsite with private restrooms, nestled among the trees in the heart of nature. We really enjoyed it!

Echt genoten!

We didn’t 2 nights here in our Motorhome during the last week of school holidays. What a fantastic site…I just wish we had more time here. Situated in a national park, you are surrounded by forestry. We used this as a rehanging couple of days in the middle of a very busy week exploring Netherlands. Pitches were great, well laid out. There were small play areas dotted around everywhere which was a massive hit with our 6 year old daughter. The pools were fantastic and we spent a good few hours there one day (taking advantage of the beautiful weather!) The on site shop was perfectly adequate. The restaurant was closed as we were there on weekdays, however there was a very good selection at the snack bar in the evening. The facilities were great, very clean and a separate shower/toilet area for children…again…a massive hit with the daughter! The nearby village was within walking/cycling distance. Another site I found have happily

We received friendly service upon arrival. It was a nice campsite, but that was about it.
After setting up the tent, we wanted to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant, but we were told that we couldn’t eat later than 5:30 p.m. because it was the end of the season and they weren’t going to bother with that anymore.
The playground was in need of some repairs. The seesaw was broken and rotten, the sandbox was empty and littered with broken toys left by previous campers, and the swings were so high that our 3-year-old son couldn’t get on them by himself.
The pool water was cold, and it wasn’t possible to rent a cargo bike.
When we pointed all this out, we were told that we should have reported the sandbox issue, and then it would have been filled.
On day 5, we left even though we still had 3.5 weeks left on our reservation. They didn’t show any consideration in this regard either.
