Summary created out of 383 reviews

Veluwepark de Bosgraaf is situated in a beautiful wooded location on the Veluwe, ideal for walking and cycling. The park is undergoing extensive development with new, luxurious accommodations that are modernly furnished with amenities such as air conditioning and hot tubs. Guests appreciate the large playground, the swimming pool, and the friendly, helpful staff. However, there are points of concern: construction work causes disturbance with noise and vacant plots, guests complain about poor communication beforehand, and the swimming pool regularly has technical issues with water being too cold.

We had a long weekend in a really nice cottage (370)! It was beautifully decorated, cozy, and we were nicely sheltered outside, surrounded by lots of greenery. There’s plenty for kids to do, and the plants and flowers in the new areas of the park are a feast for the eyes!

A few things to note, though: you can see (though we didn’t hear them) construction work, and mowing the lawn around 8:30 a.m. isn’t exactly relaxing either (this happened to some family members of ours who were also staying there). Given the luxury of the cottages (and what you pay), I’d expect window screens. Also, the website states that the pool is heated, but we didn’t feel that at all. They don’t have a plastic waste collection system, which is really unacceptable these days. Something else we found unsettling is that on your check-out day, sheets and a toilet paper roll are placed on your outdoor furniture around 9 a.m. This makes you feel rushed, even though you have until 11 a.m. Furthermore, it’s unhygienic to leave the toilet paper there. This didn’t just happen to us, but also to our family.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this beautiful place! A large living room, plenty of space around the cottage, and everything still looked brand-new. The garden is beautifully landscaped and very well maintained. We felt like we were outside the Netherlands, partly because of the weather. The pool is more than suitable for our children’s ages (11 and 13), and the restaurant is cozy and serves good food. We highly recommend it for a vacation in the Veluwe—we’ll be happy to come back next year!
