General information

The tent house offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Inside you will find a spacious living area with a cozy sofa and a large dining table where you can gather with the whole family or friends. Do you hesitate between inside or outside? On the veranda you'll find a lovely sheltered place under the awning, with a picnic table and lounge chairs for relaxing.

Fully equipped kitchen Cooking becomes an adventure in itself! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need: from pots and pans to cutting boards, cutlery and - very important - a cheese slicer, egg cups and a milk frother. You store your food in the fridge box with cooling elements, and for coffee you grind your own beans with the coffee grinder.

    Cancellation Policy


    • Cancellations can only be considered if communicated in writing by the main booker.

    • More than 6 weeks before the start of the stay, the booking can be cancelled in writing free of charge. The main booker will receive a full refund of the deposit in this case.

    • In case of cancellation between 6 and 3 weeks before the start of the stay, you have the right to change the date of the stay to an alternative in the same calendar year, or to a refund of 50% of the booking value. If the new date is more expensive than the original date, an additional payment is required to cover the price difference. If the new date has a lower price, you are not entitled to a refund of the price difference.

    • In case of cancellation between 3 weeks and 1 business day before the start of the stay, there is no possibility to transfer the booking to another date. You will then receive a voucher of 25% of the booking value (rounded to the nearest value) to use for another booking within the same booking season.

    • In case of cancellation within 1 business day or early termination of the stay, the full booking amount is due and no refund is possible by BoerenBed.

Guests are incredibly enthusiastic about the warm hospitality of hosts Bertha and Bart-Jan, who passionately share everything about farm life and always take time to answer questions. Children have a wonderful time with the many animals (cows, calves, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs), help with feeding and enjoy playing on the trampoline, swings and in the sandbox. The beautiful panoramic location in the Groningen countryside provides peace and relaxation, perfect for escaping everyday life. Special activities like catching water creatures in the ditches, watching the milking process, pizza nights and homemade jam make the stay complete.

    We really got to unwind—back to basics. Some time just for each other again, and enjoying each other’s company! Relaxing and getting into the rhythm of farm life. A friendly and welcoming farmer and his wife who’ll tell you all about the farm and let you help feed the calves and cows. We loved watching the cows walk past our tent and seeing all … the other animals on the farm. Delicious rolls for breakfast. Fun activities in the area and a cozy tent equipped with all the comforts. Cooking over the open fire, sleeping in the box bed, and baking pizza in the wood-fired oven. We’ve gained a wonderful experience and actually would have loved to stay even longer!

    Echt even tot rust gekomen, teurg naar de basis. Weer even tijd voor elkaar en genieten met elkaar! Ontspannen en mee in het ritme van de boerderij. Een vriendelijke en betrokken boer en boerin die je alles vertellen over de boerderij en waarvan je mag meehelpen met het voeren van de kalfjes en de koeien. We hebben genoten van de koeien die langs de tent lopen en alle andere dieren op de boerderij. Lekkere broodjes bij het ontbijt. Leuke activiteiten in de omgeving en een fijne tent die van alle gemakken is voorzien. Koken op het haardvuur, slapen in de bedstee en pizza s bakken bij de pizzaoven. Wij zijn een ervaring rijker en hadden eigenlijk nog wel langer willen blijven!

    We had a wonderful weekend with the kids at Bartjan and Bertha’s. From start to finish, they were incredibly hospitable and eager to tell us about the farm and everything related to it. The tents are spacious and luxurious, even though there’s no electricity. The kids loved visiting the petting barn, the stable, and the calves, but there’s plenty … to do right by the tents too—and honestly, you don’t even have to leave to really unwind. The surrounding area offers enough to stay for at least a week; a weekend is actually almost too short. We’d love to come back again!

    We hebben een superfijn weekend gehad met de kinderen bij Bartjan en Bertha. Van begin tot eind super gastvriendelijk en enthousiast om te vertellen over het bedrijf en alles eromheen. De tenten zijn groots en luxe ondanks dat er geen elektriciteit is. De kinderen vonden het heerlijk om naar de knuffelschuur te gaan, de stal en de kalfjes, maar ook bij de tenten is genoeg vermaak en eigenlijk hoef je er niet weg om lekker te kunnen onthaasten. De omgeving biedt genoeg om er minstens een week te kunnen verblijven, een weekend is eigenlijk haast te kort. We komen graag nog eens terug!
