The biggest mistake of my life was buying a plot of land at Euro-Park Susteren. They’re trying to scam me out of over €30,000 by issuing fake invoices, preventing me from selling the lot, and demanding that I pay the bills (electricity and gas) for the previous owner of the chalet that used to stand there, even though I only own the plot of land.

I can only advise everyone: Don’t vacation there! Don’t buy a plot of land there! It’s always easier to be wise after the fact, but that was the biggest mistake.

This was our first time here with a group of 12 people, so we booked a 12-person house. We were three families. Unfortunately, the front desk only provided two keys and two passes for the gate, which meant one of us had to park outside the park. Check-in went smoothly; you can stay in your car and they bring everything to you. The house was clean and spacious enough. Having two bathrooms and three toilets is nice, though a third bathroom wouldn’t be a luxury. We had booked a pet-friendly house. That was great, because the yard was fenced in and the dogs could run free. There were plenty of seats in the living room and at the dining table. All the bedrooms have a sink in the room, which is really nice. The beds are firm and therefore very comfortable—something most campsites could learn from. Fortunately, we had a second refrigerator, which is also nice when you’re with a large group. The free Wi-Fi works well enough. It was a shame, though, that the staircase to the upper level is located in the living room, which means noise from the living room carries into the bedrooms.

The park features playgrounds, inflatable play structures, a soccer cage, mini-golf, bocce, indoor play areas for the little ones, bike rentals, e-chopper rentals, and an indoor pool. There’s also a small grocery store where you can pick up a few last-minute items. Don’t expect a full-service supermarket. There’s a restaurant with a waterfront terrace and a snack bar where you can get takeout snacks and pizza. We had a wonderful weekend here. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back.

We had a really nice vacation. The park has all kinds of fun things to offer and is very animal-friendly. You’ll find yourself surrounded by free-roaming rabbits and chickens. We even saw a hedgehog twice late at night and several frogs.
There was even a goat that would sometimes wander off on its own and find its way back.
It’s also great for dogs, with several spots where poop bags are available.
The swimming lake was a lot of fun, with many different kinds of ducks and a pair of swans—who even had little ones now.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Our stay was also fine and cozy. The only downside was the two separate beds that kept sliding apart.
We really enjoyed our time here. We even booked three extra days. We went from a midweek stay to a full week.
The location is also really great. It’s close to Germany, where you can reach many nice German shops within 12 minutes. There are also some great hiking options that are definitely worth checking out, such as the Three-Country Hike.

We stayed with a group in a Daelenbroeck 10 cottage; the only downsides were that there was no air conditioning and the patio chairs weren't very comfortable.
