This holiday park is beautifully situated on a hill in the Limburg landscape and is praised for its natural appearance with green roofs and sand-colored materials that blend harmoniously with the surroundings. Guests appreciate the spacious, modern accommodations that are well hidden among the trees and offer plenty of privacy, although there are occasional complaints about mold in bathrooms and insufficient cleaning upon arrival. The staff is generally experienced as friendly and welcoming, with a warm reception including prosecco, though one guest reported rude service. The restaurant and park shop are positively reviewed, and families with children enjoy the playgrounds and animation, while the central location is ideal for trips to Maastricht, Valkenburg and the surrounding nature.

    Location and services
    We booked Hillside Family6 #149, which is located on higher ground and thus offers an unobstructed view of the valley.
    Landal’s slogan for this park—“Vacation in Nature”—is fully realized, with a focus on sustainability.
    I also count the takeout option as part … of the service: the pizzas were great. I’ll dedicate a separate review to the excellent restaurant.
    "Rooms"
    The house is very comfortably furnished, and we particularly appreciated the many kitchen accessories. The tap-mounted kettle didn’t live up to its advertising claims, resulting in weak tea, and since we weren’t used to the induction cooktop, boiling a soft-boiled egg was a challenge.
    Service
    We appreciated the welcome with a glass of bubbly and an amuse-bouche, as well as a jar of jam from a local grower upon checkout.
    We booked an 8-day stay to complete the final 50 km of the Pieterpad, with different “travel companions” along the way. It was therefore nice that several towel sets were delivered without us even asking.
    Fresh rolls in the store and a wide selection of food and non-food items.

    Nothing but positives? No—the protective covers over the two lounge sofas on the terrace (as well as those at both neighboring units) were as leaky as a sieve.
    The exterior doors to the bedrooms are equipped with screens, but the front door is not. A missed opportunity.
    We found it complicated to open and close this door with the key card.

    De slogan van Landal voor dit park: 'Vakantie in de natuur', wordt volledig waar gemaakt, met aandacht voor duurzaamheid.
    Tot de service reken ik ook de afhaalmogelijkheid: pizza's waren prima. Aan het uitstekend restaurant wijd ik een aparte review.
    "Kamers"
    Het huis is zeer comfortabel ingericht en met name de vele keukenaccessoires vielen in de smaak. De kraancooker maakte niet waar wat in de reclame wordt beweerd, met gevolg slap kopje thee en niet gewend aan de inductiekookplaat, was het koken van een zacht eitje een probleem.
    Service
    De ontvangst met een glaasje bubbels met een amuse en bij het uitchecken een potje jam van een lokale teler, stelden we op prijs.
    We boekten voor 8 dagen om de laatste 50km van Het Pieterpad af te leggen, met wisselende "meelopers". Prettig was daarom dat ongevraagd enkele handdoekenpakketten werden bezorgd.
    Verse broodjes in de winkel en ruime sorteren food en non-food.

    Louter pluspunten? Nee, de afdekhoes over de 2 lounchebanken op het terras, waren (ook bij beide buren) zo lek als een mandje.
    De buitendeuren van de slaapkemers zijn voorzien van horren, de entreedeur niet. Een gemiste kans.
    Het openen en afsluiten van de deze deur met de keycard vonden we ingewikkeld.

    A fairly new cottage. A wonderfully peaceful park. We stayed in No. 90.
    Modern decor. Comfortable extra-long beds that were already made up.
    It was spotless. And the view—in a word—breathtaking.
