At the first park, you will find 4,500 acres of vast nature. Drive there in 15 minutes and be awaited by sand dunes, fens, forests, and beautiful lakes. You almost forget for a moment you are in the Netherlands. If you head toward National Park De Groote Peel, a day of hiking through forests, thickets, and marshes awaits you. This park is a little further away, about a 40-minute drive. Follow one of the many hiking trails and during your glamping vacation, enjoy the tranquility as well as the beautiful diverse landscapes that Limburg has to offer.
Trips with the kids
Take a trip to Toverland, where you will experience an active day at a large amusement park. From the glamping, you can drive to Toverland in 25 minutes. Fancy a day of climbing and clambering in the trees? At Fun Forest Venlo, also 25 minutes away, swing through the trees and enjoy an adventurous outing in the Venlo forest. Is the weather bad? Then you'll also find an indoor playground in Venlo. At the indoor playground Ballorig in Venlo, you can run, climb and jump all day. Is the weather nice? Then drive about 10 minutes to Het Aardbeienland, where you will find yourself in a fairytale theme park with strawberry fairytale forest, a gnome village and strawberry dream world. Don't forget to taste fresh strawberries, too!

After a short drive, you are met by cozy shopping streets and many terraces. A 20-minute drive from the glamping is Arcen, a small village with beautiful castle gardens at a 17th-century castle. Kasteeltuinen Arcen is the ideal destination for a fun outing among the greenery. During a walk through the more than 15 unique gardens, your senses will be stimulated. Children explore the park, play a game of miniature golf, or head for the play beach and the animals in the petting meadow.

Purpose of the vacation: to relax with the kids and enjoy spending time together.
Activities: plenty available to break up the day a few times. More suited for children ages 4–9. Sometimes the entertainment team was called upon to keep an eye on active children, which meant they had less time for the activities themselves.
Surroundings: quiet surroundings, well-maintained; the “old” restroom block was kept very clean, as were the other facilities!
Accommodations: we stayed in a glamping tent, fully equipped; nice extras include a private restroom, a gas grill, and a cozy hammock. Comfortable beds. High chair available.
Food: Upon arrival, it would have been nice to have something more substantial to eat than a croque monsieur. We would have liked to have dinner at the park as well, but the menu is too limited for that. The staff consisted mainly of students; they did their best and always with a smile, which made up for a lot 😄
Swimming was fantastic, especially in the warm weather. Sometimes there were some local teens with too much testosterone, but usually someone would step in and the situation was quickly resolved. It’s not a subtropical water park with all kinds of attractions, so you have to create your own fun.

Doel van de vakantie: ontspannen met de kinderen en genieten van het samen zijn.
Activiteiten: voldoende aanwezig om de dag een paar keer te breken. Eerder voor kinderen 4 - 9j. Soms werd de animatie ploeg ingezet om te baby site op actieve kinderen, waardoor ze minder tijd hadden voor de activiteit zelf.
Omgeving: rustige omgeving, proper onderhouden, "oude" wc blok werd zeer proper onderhouden, alsook de overige faciliteiten!
Verblijf: we verbleven in een Glamping tent, van alles voorzien, leuke extra is eigen wc, bbq op gas en een gezellige hangmat. Degelijke bedden. Babystoel aanwezig.
Eten: bij aankomst had het fijn geweest om iets meer te kunnen eten dan een croque monsieur. We hadden graag s avonds ook iets gegeten op het park, maar daarvoor is de menukaart te beknopt. Bediening bestond voornamelijk uit studenten, zij deden hun best en met de glimlach, wat veel goedmaakt 😄
Zwemmen was fantastisch, zeker met het warme weer. Soms wat buurt jongeren met te veel testosteron, maar meestal reageert er wel iemand en loste zich dat snel op. Het is geen subtropisch zwembad met allerlei attracties, dus plezier moet je onderling maken.
Onthaal: zeer vriendelijk en steeds bereid om info geven of te helpen
