    Disappointing handling of legionella in Jacuzzi We stayed at Residence Valkenburg in Schin op Geul during the Amstel Gold. We had booked a stay of almost €900, precisely because of the presence of a jacuzzi, among other things. This unfortunately fell away after one day due to legionella present in the water. Understandable that this would be closed, but with that the (for us) main reason for our stay fell away. The "compensation" consisted largely of reimbursement of costs for the jacuzzi and (after many repeated emails) in addition only €74 extra. For us this is totally disproportionate to the impact on our stay. In addition, we, including children, still used the jacuzzi that contained legionella, which caused unnecessary worry. All in all, disappointing handling and little recognition of the situation. As a result, we doubt we would want to return to this park in the future.

We hadden een verblijf van bijna €900 geboekt, juist vanwege de aanwezigheid van o.a. een jacuzzi. Deze viel helaas na één dag weg door aanwezige legionella in het water. Begrijpelijk dat dit wordt gesloten, maar daarmee viel wel de (voor ons) belangrijkste reden van ons verblijf weg. De “compensatie” bestond grotendeels uit terugbetaling van kosten voor de jacuzzi en (na veel herhaaldelijke mailtjes) daarnaast slechts €74 extra. Dit staat voor ons totaal niet in verhouding tot de impact op ons verblijf. Daarnaast hebben wij, inclusief kinderen, nog gebruik gemaakt van de jacuzzi waar legionella in zit, wat voor onnodige zorgen heeft gezorgd. Al met al een teleurstellende afhandeling en weinig erkenning voor de situatie. Hierdoor betwijfelen wij of we in de toekomst nog weer terug willen naar dit park.

    We had another wonderful vacation at this park. We love coming here as active vacationers (biking, running and hiking). The accommodations are well cared for (clean, great mattresses) and the surroundings are really beautiful. In addition, there is plenty to do in the vicinity; beautiful museums, nice terraces.

    Wij hebben opnieuw een heerlijke vakantie gehad op dit park. We komen hier graag als actieve vakantievierders (fietsen, hardlopen en wandelen). De accommodaties zijn prima verzorgd (schoon, heerlijke matrassen) en de omgeving is werkelijk prachtig. Daarnaast is er in de nabije omgeving genoeg te doen; mooie musea, leuke terrasjes.
