This modern, wooden lodge is the perfect base for a relaxed trip with friends, hidden in a peaceful, car-free part of the park. Thanks to the large windows, the living area is always bright and welcoming – ideal for lazy mornings, long chats and game nights on the sofa. The smart TV and underfloor heating keep things cosy in every season.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for cooking together: you’ll find a dishwasher, combi-microwave and everything you need for easy breakfasts, shared dinners and late-night snacks. With three bedrooms – two with comfortable box-spring double beds and one with a bunk bed – everyone in your group has their own place to unwind after a day outside. The lodge is suitable for up to six people, so it’s great for a small group of friends or two couples with a few extra travel buddies.

Slide open the doors and step out onto your spacious terrace or into your private garden with outdoor seating. It’s a lovely spot for coffee in the morning sun or drinks as the sun sets over the Limburg hills. Dogs are welcome too (up to two pets), and the surroundings are full of scenic, dog-friendly walking trails where you can explore nature together on-leash.

From your door, you can walk straight into the countryside or stroll to the charming town of Gulpen. Stop by the Gulpener Brewery, where even four-legged friends are welcome on the terrace, or try local favourites like Brasserie Amuseer and Petit Restaurant Les Arômes for regional dishes and relaxed drinks outdoors. There’s also a lively weekly market where you can pick up local treats.

Fancy a day trip? Maastricht is only about 20 minutes away, with stylish boutiques, cosy cafés and great restaurants – perfect for a city break feel during your nature getaway. Back at Resort Gulpen, you’ll celebrate New Year’s in a mostly firework-free setting, ideal if someone in your group (or one of the dogs) prefers a quieter turn of the year. Please note that the park doesn’t actively check, so occasional fireworks in the wider area are still possible.
