Summary created out of 218 reviews

Eurocamping Vessem is an expansive campsite set in nature with spacious pitches among the woods. Guests particularly appreciate the friendly staff, the beautiful forested location and the generous field sizes. The swimming pool and numerous playgrounds make it a favourite destination for families with children. The animation programme receives positive feedback and there are plenty of cycling and walking routes in the surrounding area. However, there are areas for improvement: sanitary facilities are sometimes outdated, hand basins are missing at the small toilet blocks, and showers are perceived as too expensive. The shop and canteen could also benefit from modernisation.

It’s a fairly large campground, though you don’t really realize how big it is. The natural surroundings have been preserved, with a fishing pond, hiking trails, and woods. There are several fields with sandy paths. You’ll also find seasonal sites, as well as private mobile homes and chalets.
We were parked in a spot near the front with our own restroom facilities. The sites are nicely laid out but not clearly marked—which isn’t a problem, since they’re quite spacious. If you’re staying further back, it’s a good idea to bring a bike. You can also rent one. The pool is great for everyone. Just make sure to bring a beach umbrella, because on hot days you’ll definitely need some shade. There are only a few trees, and of course everyone wants to sit under them. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. We had a wonderful time and did a lot of biking in the beautiful surroundings. We visited just before the peak season, and even with the large grounds, it was surprisingly quiet. If you visit during the peak season, I think it’s a very cozy family campground. The reception staff was extremely friendly.
There’s plenty of fun for kids, and I think teens will find plenty to do as well.
We’ll definitely go back as a couple—and maybe with the grandkids.
