We have just come back from a wonderful weekend in the park. We had a Velthorst 4 house, right at the front of the driveway. The house was big enough for us (2 adults, 2 children, 1 big dog), very nicely furnished. Cleanliness in the house was (as always in such parks) not perfect, but really good. The heating warmed the house very quickly. Dog could be leashed behind the house, so he had some freedom. I liked that there was a large parking lot and that no cars were allowed to park in front of the houses (except for loading and unloading). The park itself is really lovely. It was very clean and well-kept. Lots of opportunities for children. Super great, beautiful mini golf course (I assume this is new as I've seen pictures of another course in other reviews) and absolutely fine for 5€/person. Several playgrounds scattered around the park. Single and 4-person kettkars at a reasonable price. The indoor pool was a bit too cold for me. Not a particular highlight, but absolutely sufficient for our children. We didn't use the outdoor pool due to the weather, but it looked well maintained. All the staff we dealt with were friendly. Snacks in the snack bar were good (except pizza, not our taste and extremely overpriced). If you have been to parks like this before and know a few tricks (1) Never (!) go during the main season if you go during the German vacations, only if there are no vacations in the region 2. everything looks bigger in pictures 3. MINImarkt means mini(!!!) market, you do your shopping in the supermarket nearby) you can have a great time here. We would actually go there again.

Really enjoyed our stay, very peaceful. We had a lovely cabin and walking around the park was easy. Lots of parks for the kids and the swimming pool was great plus the water slides. We had an issue with the 24/7 pizza machine and it wasn't worth the hassle to try and get this sorted and our money back as it didn't give us 1 of the pizzas. Overall, great stay and would recommend.

We are broadly satisfied, but there are some areas of concern. To start with the positive, it is a nice car-free park that is generally well maintained. The staff, especially at the reception, is friendly and helpful. A mistake on the reservation was also resolved adequately and neatly. In addition, it is in a beautiful location. Kaatsheuvel and Waalwijk are close by, and you can walk/bike right into nature. The cottages are modern and spacious (in our case Velthorst, the rest I do not know), have fine facilities (kitchen with accessories, bathroom, spacious bedroom) and have a nice sitting area outside. The vegetation between the chalets is also pleasant. In addition, there are parking lots almost everywhere close to the cottages. The gnome trail was great fun for the little ones and the miniature golf course was also fun. In addition, many playgrounds. But then the rest... What bothered me from the beginning is that you have to pay for everything. Towel? Pay. Kitchen towel? Pay. Check in a little earlier? Pay you will. Forgot to pick up bed? Threaten to pay. Need air conditioning? Pay up. And so we can go on and on. And the amounts involved are substantial. And in return, you get to deliver your cottage clean yourself. Because otherwise... You guessed it. Bed linen is included. But that bed... Guys ... We slept our asses off. The mattresses are very bad, the pillows downright horrible. Also nowhere to be found an extra blanket. In addition, the walls make noise and that startled us at night. Insulation is also not your cup of tea. We only had one summer day now, and even then it was sweating inside. I do not believe that it is very nice in summer if you do not book air conditioning (but pay huh!!!). The pool is nice for kids, but also very claustrophobic. Everything is small and outdated. There were way too many people inside and one girl had to supervise the whole thing. Completely irresponsible. The access system doesn't work well either. Then there is the Wapen van Kaatsheuvel. I don't want to waste words on that, because rarely have I experienced such a softer experience. Just like the cafeteria. Which also falls under that Wapen. Expensive, cumbersome, bad.

Duur, omslachtig, slecht.
