Unexpectedly, my health allowed me to go on a short vacation after all. Our whole family really needed it. Upon arrival, we discovered that the previous tenant had stained the bathtub with hair dye… and the stains are impossible to remove. It doesn’t look good, and the park manager, Joke, agreed right away. She was very kind to us and very understanding of our situation. A bath mat was arranged, and suddenly two comfortable lounge chairs were brought out to the garden as well. There was even a little extra treat for the kids—so sweet. Beyond that, we’re finding the peace and quiet here that we so desperately needed, relaxing in the garden and in the hot tub. What we all really loved was the welcome package for the dog! Treats, poop bags, and a tennis ball! A quiet, clean, small-scale park. No frenzied entertainment or noise—just a cozy atmosphere. But it’s the warm, personal connection with Joke that really makes this place special!

A dirty cottage and a lot of fireworks noise: For the New Year’s weekend, we decided to take our fireworks-phobic dog to a fireworks-free vacation park. Since not every vacation park labeled “fireworks-free” is actually fireworks-free, we contacted this park to confirm. While other parks were honest, this park guaranteed it would be fireworks-free. From the moment we arrived until we left (three days), we heard fireworks going off almost nonstop. During our stay, no staff member was available by phone. We therefore shared our experience via email shortly after arriving. Furthermore, the cottage was different from what was advertised: there was a bedroom exactly the same size as the bed (so you couldn’t even stand next to it), the shower was broken, there was mold, and the refrigerator was filthy—overall, it wasn’t very clean. We discussed this when we checked out, and the staff promised an appropriate solution. We were told the owner would let us know what that would be. After two months of silence, we reached out ourselves and were told that they were aware that fireworks were being set off in the immediate vicinity. The park is adjacent to a residential neighborhood where fireworks were going off constantly, and they repeatedly landed in the park as well. So the staff knew better; why then would you invite a dog with a fear of fireworks to your park? Furthermore, they claimed they’d never received any complaints about the property, even though such complaints can be found here on Google, among other places. This owner’s response shows little understanding and is therefore incredibly disappointing. Easy money made at the expense of a frightened animal. On behalf of our dog, we’re posting this experience anyway. Hopefully, other dog owners and people who value cleanliness and an accessible bedroom will find this helpful.

What a beautiful park, with incredibly kind people who keep everything in such great shape and welcome you with such warmth and kindness. They were also so helpful and quick to offer suggestions for everything! Awesome!

A nice, clean park with lovely accommodations and a good location.

After a leak at home, we had to leave our house unexpectedly. Fortunately, Sandberghe immediately worked with us to find a solution and checked to see if there was still a spot available for us. We received excellent service and felt welcome right away.

The service was truly fantastic. Thank you so much again for the wonderful help and hospitality. We highly recommend them!
