This detached lodge is 60 m² and suitable for a maximum of six people. The accommodation is located in a quiet area, is on one level and features underfloor heating and free Wi-Fi.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and a sleeping loft. One bedroom is furnished with two single beds and the other bedroom has bunk beds. A wooden staircase leads to the sleeping loft with two single beds. Due to the steep staircase, the sleeping loft is less suitable for small children and elderly people. Single duvets and pillows are provided. The lodge has two bathrooms with a shower and washbasin. There is also a separate toilet.

The living and dining room features a seating area, dining area and smart TV. The kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher, combination microwave and coffee machine suitable for Nespresso capsules.

Outside, there is a garden with a terrace and lounge set.

What you should know about the park

Callantsoog is situated right in the dunes, about 500 metres from the beach. From here, you can easily walk or cycle to the wide North Sea coast.     We stayed in House 39. The park is beautiful and located right next to the dunes. The play areas for children are also perfectly fine. The village is within walking distance, and it takes just five minutes by bike. The staff is very friendly.

    Unfortunately, the house hadn’t been cleaned properly. The floor was littered with crumbs, and … there was a foul smell of sewage throughout the house. The windows were also not very clean. After we had thoroughly cleaned the house ourselves, we brought these issues to the attention of the ladies at the front desk. They offered to send one of their colleagues by to clean the house again, but we declined. After all, we had already cleaned everything ourselves. Regarding the strong odor, we were advised to let the water run for a while, which eventually helped alleviate the problem to a large extent.

    As our stay continued, we noticed that the roof made a lot of noise when it rained or the wind blew. When we sat in front of the TV in the evening, we had to turn the volume up to at least 80, and sometimes even to 100, just to be able to understand anything. It was almost impossible to have a conversation.

    Over the past three days, there were also strong gusts of wind. From that point on, getting any sleep was out of the question due to the noise. Completely exhausted, we’re leaving today and are very curious to see how the operator will address the circumstances we’ve described in accordance with regulations.

    Wir waren in Haus 39. Der Park ist schön und direkt an den Dünen gelegen. Die Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder sind ebenfalls völlig in Ordnung. Das Dorf ist fußläufig erreichbar und mit dem Rad braucht man gerade einmal fünf Minuten. Das Personal ist sehr nett.

    Leider war das Haus unzureichend gereinigt. Der Fußboden war mit Krümeln übersät und im Haus herrschte ein Gestank nach Abwasser. Auch die Sauberkeit der Fenster ließ zu wünschen übrig. Nachdem wir das Haus ausgiebig gereinigt hatten, wiesen wir die Damen an der Rezeption auf diese Umstände hin. Sie boten an, einen ihrer Kollegen vorbeizuschicken, um nochmals eine Hausreinigung durchzuführen, was wir allerdings ablehnten. Wir hatten ja bereits selbst alles gereinigt. Bezüglich des erheblichen Gestanks riet man uns, das Wasser längere Zeit laufen zu lassen, was auch irgendwann weitgehend Abhilfe schaffte.

    Im weiteren Verlauf unseres Aufenthalts mussten wir feststellen, dass das Dach bei Regen und Wind erhebliche Geräusche verursachte. Saß man abends vor dem Fernseher, musste man die Lautstärke auf mindestens 80, teilweise sogar auf 100, einstellen, um überhaupt etwas verstehen zu können. Unterhaltungen waren kaum möglich.

    In den letzten drei Tagen kam es zudem zu Sturmböen. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt war aufgrund der Lautstärke an Schlaf nicht mehr zu denken. Völlig übermüdet reisen wir am heutigen Tag ab und sind sehr gespannt, wie man seitens des Betreibers regulatorisch auf die angesprochenen Umstände eingehen wird.

    Wir werden auf jeden Fall einen Nachtrag schreiben.
