The park is located directly on the IJsselmeer with beautiful views and modern cottages, but is still largely under construction. The location is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to Enkhuizen, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, guests experience a severe plague of mosquitoes and spiders, making outdoor sitting often impossible. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired with dust, cobwebs and stains on the beds, and essential facilities such as a restaurant and shop are still missing. The swimming pool has limited opening hours and the sanitary facilities are not always well maintained.

    With six adults and two children, we stayed in a Beach House 8. It’s beautifully situated on the IJsselmeer, and you could walk right into the water from the dock. The path to Enkhuizen had just opened, so you can walk from the cottage to the Zuiderzee Museum or downtown in 15 to 20 minutes. Several new playgrounds have also been built in the … park. The bathrooms in the cottage are nice and spacious. There was a charging station for electric cars right by the cottage.
    However, the quality of the cottage leaves much to be desired. The mattresses on the beds are rock-hard. After just one night, I already had back pain that wouldn’t go away for the rest of the week. There aren’t enough electrical outlets in the cottages. Also, the window screens are very sparsely installed. In the living room, only 1 of the 4 windows has a screen. The top floor is under the roof, and it gets very hot there. The back room has only a small window, so it gets very hot in that room. The living room is very small for an eight-person cottage. The pool’s hours are far too limited for guests, especially those with small children. Since it’s also used by Enkhuizen residents and for swimming lessons, you can only use it between noon and late at night—but those are precisely the times when most children are asleep.
    In short, a decent cottage in a beautiful location, but quite expensive for the quality of the cottage.

    Met zes volwassenen en twee kinderen verbleven we in een Beach House 8. Het ligt prachtig aan het IJsselmeer en je kon zo vanaf de steiger het water inlopen. De weg naar Enkhuizen was net geopend dus je kan vanaf het huisje in 15 tot 20 minuutjes lopen in het Zuiderzee Museum of het centrum zijn. Op het park zijn ook diverse nieuwe speeltuintjes aangelegd. De badkamers in het huisje zijn mooi en ruim opgezet. Bij het huisje was een oplaadpaal voor de elektrische auto's.
    Echter, de kwaliteit van het huisje laat te wensen over. De matrassen op de bedden zijn knoeperhard. Ik had na één nacht al rugpijn die niet meer wegging de rest van de week. Er zijn te weinig stopcontacten in de huisjes. Ook zijn de horren erg spaarzaam aangebracht. In de woonkamer heeft maar 1 van de 4 ramen een hor. De bovenste verdieping bestaat ligt onder het dak en het wordt daar heel warm. De achterste kamer heeft maar een klein raampje dus het wordt heel warm op die kamer. De woonkamer is erg klein voor een achtpersoonshuisje. Het zwembad is veel te beperkt open voor de gasten, zeker met kleine kinderen. Doordat het ook gebruikt wordt voor de inwoners van Enkhuizen en lessen kan je er alleen tussen de middag en s avonds laat terecht, maar juist op die tijden slapen de meeste kinderen.
    Kortom, een redelijk huisje op een mooie plek, maar vrij duur voor de kwaliteit van het huisje.

    A SCAM!!! Do not book a place here unless you want to sleep on the STREET!!!
    We paid over €1,000, the host confirmed the booking - and DISAPPEARED. For a FULL DAY he didn't answer: not one reply to our messages, and we called ALL DAY LONG on both phone numbers - not once did anyone pick up.
    We arrive after a 12-HOUR DRIVE - nobody at … reception. No keys left for us. Not a single person to turn to. We stood outside for 3 hours in the middle of the night, five of us, one of us pregnant, trying to reach someone - but it was all useless, they never answered!
    Think about it: they took our money and left us to sleep on the street!
