This small vacation park is located on the outskirts of town, right next to a busy main road—with trucks passing by from the early morning hours on weekdays and motorcycles on weekends. Given the lightweight construction, it’s not suitable for guests who are sensitive to noise. Our chalet has a spacious living area with a kitchen. The three bedrooms are very cramped and small and have little storage space. Since there were only two of us, this wasn’t a problem. With six people staying here, it would certainly be a challenge. The terrace right on the water is very nice. However, there are no lounge chairs. The kitchen is equipped with the basics—coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher, microwave. A toaster is missing, for example. The cleanliness of the chalet leaves much to be desired. The bedding had been washed, but was still stained and full of holes. There was no Wi-Fi at first. The heating didn’t really work, and there were a few other minor issues. Since we arrived on Saturday, we couldn’t do anything at first. The front desk is unstaffed on weekends. There is an emergency phone number and a WhatsApp number. However, my WhatsApp message was not responded to. All in all, not recommended.

Alles in allem keine Empfehlung.

Cottage 14 itself was ok, unfortunately the dining room chairs are in very bad condition. These would be replaced soon but still hasn't happened after 3 weeks, something to do with no permission from the owner. Also the wooden outdoor chairs are in bad condition and the lacquer is coming off and sticking to your skin and to your clothes (just like the dining room chairs)also these are still not replaced. About the mattresses we have unfortunately no good story these are thin and lie through on the slatted bottom. We ourselves but put a topper on it because the mattresses are only replaced at the end of the year. We stay 7 weeks because of emigration we paid more than 8000 euros for this. I recommend everyone look further so you can stay comfortable. We do not recommend Europarcs Markermeer and then explicitly cottage # 14
