Pavilion Waterfront - 6 persons

How could anyone even think of building a park just 10 meters away from a major thoroughfare? It’s like being at the TT in Assen or at an F1 race. Constant noise from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Trucks, screeching engines—if you open the window, you can’t even hear the TV. What a crappy location for 1,050 euros a week. A gas stove with half-working … burners, no cutting board, old pans that don’t cook a thing—what a mess! No one was at the front desk; the key box was already open with the code we’d received, and the license plate recognition didn’t work at the entrance…WHAT A GREAT WEEK AT EUROPARK—HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! If you arrive on the weekend, you’ll find yourself facing a locked gate. If you press the emergency button, you’ll be told that no one is there to help, and after a short while, the call is disconnected. So my partner, who has difficulty walking, had to struggle all the way to get to the lovely little cottage. If you really want peace and quiet … and don’t want constant traffic noise from the thoroughfare right behind the last row of houses, you should rent a place right by the ocean. Please at least put up a sound barrier. Oh, and… the cozy blanket had dog hair on it, the smoke detector went off when we got out of the shower, and the clock’s battery was dead. Read more Show less

Very disappointing—the accommodation was extremely dirty upon arrival
We had been really looking forward to our vacation in a waterfront accommodation at EuroParcs. Unfortunately, the condition of the place was absolutely disappointing when we arrived. The accommodation was noticeably dirty and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned: cobwebs … everywhere, dirty floors, hair in the bathroom, mold, and heavy grime in the shower, as well as a dirty kitchen, coffee maker, and refrigerator. There were also other issues with the furnishings. The photos speak for themselves.

We reported the issues right away on Saturday. We were told that no one was there over the weekend and that we should come back on Monday. We did just that. We were then told that the manager was in a meeting and that we should send an email with our complaint. We did so that same day, but received no response or resolution.
We also brought up the issues again at check-out. The staff member was friendlier this time and even took photos of the issues herself. After that, we never heard from EuroParcs again.
We also encountered problems with the gate upon arrival, and unfortunately, the check-in experience was not particularly friendly either.
I am deliberately leaving out the additional issues with billing through Belvilla/Check24 here, as EuroParcs cannot be held solely responsible for them.
Our conclusion: For waterfront accommodations in this price and quality range, we expected significantly more. It’s particularly disappointing that, despite multiple complaints and documented issues, we received no further response. Read more Show less
