Summary created out of 217 reviews

The park is situated in a quiet, green location with good access to Amsterdam and other cities. Guests appreciate the location as well as the modern appearance of the park itself. Staff receive mixed reviews, with both friendly and less helpful experiences reported. The on-site restaurant is well-received, though opening hours are limited. The proximity to the airport results in regular air traffic during the day, but nights are peaceful.

Very disappointing experience, especially for Amsterdam.

We arrived late in the evening and were shocked to find no towels, no slippers, no tea, cold and dirty floors, and basically none of the small essentials you expect when arriving at a place to stay.

The worst part is that towels are not included and can only be bought from reception during its opening hours. Since reception closes at 5 p.m., guests arriving later have no way to get towels at all.

There were also several maintenance issues:
-the bathroom tap needs to be repaired, it’s very hard to turn
-upstairs bedroom smelled strongly of sewage
-for a group of few people, we were left with barely half a roll of toilet paper, which didn’t last until the end of our stay

And unfortunately, the service matched the rest. I had an unpleasant situation at the restaurant, where the waiter was simply rude and spoke to me in an unacceptable manner.

Overall, the experience was far below what we expected and simply not worth the price.

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it at all!
I have to agree with most of the people here.
At first glance, the chalets at the resort look really cute and cozy—especially the view when you look out toward the lake. However, none of that makes up for the truly inadequate cleanliness and the airplane noise—a plane flies directly over the park every few seconds, making it nearly impossible to have a conversation outside. All the dust and debris kicked up by the planes ends up all over the outdoor furniture and so on. Upon arrival, we had to clean the entire chalet and filed a complaint about torn and dirty bed linens (even though they were vacuum-sealed). The dishes in the cabinets were dirty, and the house needed to be vacuumed. The dining table was so sticky it looked like it hadn’t seen a cloth in a year; I’m also attaching some photos so you can see for yourself. Among other things, there were spiderwebs and dead insects everywhere because there were no insect screens installed anywhere. The very next morning, we complained about everything and were promised housekeeping, which we waited for in vain; however, the broken vacuum cleaner was replaced. The opening hours listed for the French fry stand are incorrect, as are those for the small restaurant right next to the front desk. We wanted to go there one evening for a drink, but we were rudely turned away with the words “we’re closing”—no hello, nothing—even though it was still supposed to be open for over 1.5 hours. Others were served, though; I have no idea if we were treated as second-class guests. The ladies at the front desk were the only friendly ones. Too bad—we thought we’d be able to spend a few nice days here, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible under these circumstances. On the positive side, the train station was only about a 10-minute drive away, so it’s easy to get to Amsterdam and other places. The entire complex, including the houses, needs to be renovated; the walls, furniture, and kitchens—along with their fixtures—were old. I hope someone finally takes this to heart; otherwise, I don’t think the park has much longer to go. Still, I wish them all the best.

Rural setting just outside Amsterdam. The signage to the cottages could be better.

Landelijk ingericht onder de rook van Amsterdam. Bewegwijzering naar de huisjes kan beter.
