Looking for a stylish base for your next trip with friends? Waterland in Egmond aan den Hoef is a modern holiday villa for 6 people, set in a quiet recreation park right by the North Holland Dune Reserve. It’s the perfect spot if you love the coast, comfort and relaxed evenings together.

Inside, you’ll find a bright living room with large windows, comfy seating and a cozy fireplace – ideal for long chats, a glass of wine or a board game on cooler evenings. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped, so cooking together is easy, whether you’re preparing a big breakfast or a lazy dinner after the beach.

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, so everyone gets a real bed and enough privacy. The sleek bathroom is a real treat, with a relaxing sauna where you can warm up after a windy beach walk or a day of exploring. There’s also a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus central heating, so you can stay here comfortably in any season.

Slide open the door to your private garden and terrace. Here you can enjoy long outdoor dinners at the dining table and fire up the electric barbecue without any hassle. It’s a lovely place to start the day with coffee in the fresh dune air or end it under the stars.

The beach is only about 2 km away, so you can easily walk or bike there for a swim, sunset drinks or a long stroll along the shoreline.     The vacation homes are beautifully situated in green surroundings and ideal for anyone who loves seclusion and nature - at least at first glance. The area is well maintained and invites to hiking or biking. However, there are some significant limitations: The vacation complex is located directly on the approach route from Schiphol Airport. Quite a few planes regularly flew over our house - sometimes as early as 4:00 in the morning, which unfortunately seriously disturbed our peace and quiet. A note about this in the accommodation description is urgently needed and would help to create realistic expectations. The furnishings also left much to be desired: the beds were unfortunately not particularly comfortable. The mattress toppers constantly slid, which further limited sleeping comfort. Furthermore, the crockery was far too small for a house with up to six people - this urgently needs to be improved. All in all, a beautifully located vacation home with potential, but one that loses considerable recreational value due to airplane noise and some flaws in the furnishings.

    De vakantiehuizen zijn prachtig gelegen in een groene omgeving en ideaal voor iedereen die van afzondering en natuur houdt – althans op het eerste gezicht. De omgeving is goed onderhouden en nodigt uit tot wandelen of fietsen. Er zijn echter enkele belangrijke beperkingen: Het vakantiecomplex ligt direct aan de aanvliegroute van Schiphol. Er vlogen regelmatig behoorlijk wat vliegtuigen over ons huis – soms al om 4:00 uur 's ochtends, wat helaas onze rust ernstig verstoorde. Een opmerking hierover in de beschrijving van de accommodatie is dringend gewenst en zou helpen om realistische verwachtingen te scheppen. Ook de inrichting liet te wensen over: de bedden waren helaas niet bijzonder comfortabel. De matrastoppers schoven constant weg, wat het slaapcomfort verder beperkte. Bovendien was het servies veel te klein voor een huis met maximaal zes personen – dit moet dringend worden verbeterd. Al met al een prachtig gelegen vakantiehuis met potentie, maar een die door vliegtuiglawaai en enkele gebreken in de inrichting aanzienlijk aan recreatiewaarde inboet.

    Die Ferienhäuser liegen sehr schön im Grünen und sind ideal für alle, die Abgeschiedenheit und Natur schätzen – zumindest auf den ersten Blick. Die Umgebung ist gepflegt und lädt zu Spaziergängen oder Fahrradtouren ein. Allerdings gibt es einige deutliche Einschränkungen: Die Ferienanlage befindet sich direkt in der Anflugschneise des Flughafens Schiphol. Eine nicht unerhebliche Anzahl von Flugzeugen überflog regelmäßig unser Haus – teilweise bereits ab 4:00 Uhr morgens, was die Erholung leider stark beeinträchtigt hat. Ein entsprechender Hinweis in der Hausbeschreibung wäre dringend notwendig und würde helfen, realistische Erwartungen zu setzen. Auch die Ausstattung ließ zu wünschen übrig: Die Betten waren leider nicht besonders bequem. Die Topper verrutschten ständig, was den Schlafkomfort weiter einschränkte. Zudem war das Geschirr für ein Haus mit einer maximalen Belegung von sechs Personen deutlich zu knapp bemessen – hier sollte dringend nachgebessert werden. Insgesamt ein schön gelegenes Ferienhaus mit Potenzial, das jedoch durch Fluglärm und einige Schwächen in der Ausstattung deutlich an Erholungswert verliert.

    The sauna only worked after 4 of our 7 days. Cleanliness left much to be desired and the house was already heavily used. Child seat broken, but was quickly repaired. Hooded umbrella was repaired only provisionally.
