Looking for a relaxed coastal escape with your dog by your side? This modern lodge at Resort Callantsoog is just 500 metres from the wide sandy beach and the North Sea. Tucked away in a peaceful, car-free park, it’s the perfect base for a laid-back holiday in North Holland.

The single-storey lodge is inspired by the colourful tulip fields in the area. Fresh tones, big windows and plenty of natural light make the living space feel bright and airy. In the open-plan living room you’ll find a comfy seating area with smart TV, so you can unwind after a beach day with your favourite series or a family movie night.

The kitchen is fully equipped for easy holiday cooking, with a combination microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. Start your day with a fresh coffee at the dining table and end it with a simple home-cooked meal or take-away from the beach pavilions nearby.

With two bedrooms and space for up to four guests, this lodge is ideal for couples, friends or a small family. The single level layout also makes it practical if you’re travelling with young kids or prefer to avoid stairs. The bathroom is modern and functional, so you can quickly freshen up before heading out again.

Dogs are very welcome here – you can bring up to two. Callantsoog is known as one of the most dog-friendly areas in North Holland. On the nearby beach you’ll find zones where dogs are allowed all year round, and there are beautiful walking routes through the Zwanenwater nature reserve. In the area, you’ll also find fun, seasonal dog events like beach clean-ups and casual meet-ups for dog lovers.

After a long walk through the dunes or along the shoreline, relax together on your own private veranda. It’s a lovely spot to sit back with a drink while your four-legged friend naps at your feet.

Craving something tasty? In the village and on the beach you’ll find cosy spots like Strandpaviljoen De Toko and Woest, where dogs are welcome on the terrace and water bowls are ready. Fresh seafood, Dutch classics and sea views are all within easy reach.

Good to know: the holiday park is officially fireworks-free. Fireworks are not allowed on New Year’s Eve and the park checks this, although there may still be some fireworks in the wider surroundings.
